It almost seems like half the nikkas who fukk with Ross (I'm not saying nikkas from this site) only fukk with dude because he seems like the "It" music to listen to because he's pushed so hard on people. He got like a million videos, works with big other big artists, signed a lot of promising acts, always on tv, always at award shows. You see Ross in everything.

I don't think as many nikkas actually feel his music as much as he and some of his stans do. nikkas is giving him every platform to succeed in the mainstream and when he doesn't, nikkas give him every excuse to why he didn't. I feel if more cats actually fukked with him like that he'd have at least one plat plaque.

Meanwhile Jeezy encounters mad setbacks and drops an album that wasn't his best shyt, but it still sold cuz nikkas actually fukked with him and anticipated copping it.

You do know that a majority of ross fans been fans since Deeper than rap Trilla days right, that's why they always say dtr is his best album. But according to you he only has fans cause he is pushed so hard or people...... What?


Another thing is I'm sick and tired of nikkas generalizing every ross fan, nikkas do realize that alot of ross fans also listen to jeezy.

But I guess I'm just brainwashed into liking ross since Trilla tho.

"Buzz" is so difficult to measure though, and buzz = sales has been proven to be a faulty equation.

A whole lotta people like Ross, but not enough to buy the album it seems.

I've said it before, the one thing that will move units is a fanbase invested in the individual. More than hit songs, more than "buzz", if people fukk with an artist on some sort of personal level, there will be $.

Jeezy may not get talked about half as much as Ross, and obviously isn't as visible, but the people who do listen to his music live and die by it.

Those numbers aren't really that bad for 2012... He could still potentially hit Gold even though it might take 6 months.

Artists like Ross are never interesting enough to be a Platinum Artist because when you portray a Character in your music opposite of your real life it makes it hard to display your "human" side.

The average fan couldn't tell you 2 things about Ross's life... Artists like Jay-Z, Em, T.I., Nas, Kanye, etc, have put their REAL lives on wax enough times that people feel a connection to them but when you're talking about being a Drug Kingpin & never get that personal about your childhood, high school, etc, things that people can relate to then you're never bound to connect musically on that level to have people care for you like that...

I like Ross though but I understand his limitations as an Artist...

If you look at his singles,none a nd i mean NONE of the ones geared toward the ladies really blew up like that. The most popular one is probaly ASTON MARTIN MUSIC. Which is basically a drake song that didnt do much for ross politically. Only a small fraternity of people know how dope ross's recent mixtapes and solo albums have been.
