I remember your clown ass with the TM 103 avi on SOHH. You think i'm gonna take you seriously?

I don't really follow them so I don't even know who is number 1, 2, & 3. All I know Ross was supposed to go to the next level like T.I. did after King LP/What You Know single.

u mad Bro?

At this point, Ross is stuck in the same lane as Jeezy, Gucci Mane, and Waka Flocka. And Waka is probably bigger than those other three.

i can't even take you seriously after this. waka's album went triple plywood. he's bigger than ross, who has already sold over 250k in two weeks?!?!!@?!@?!@

I think the CD Sales = fanbase equation is very loosely correlated in this day and age. People put wayyyyy too much emphasis on CD sales ad I have no idea why

It's the only way they can build a legit argument for or against an artist.

Rick Ross would take an L if he said that GFID would outsell TM103 in the first month or so.

Why not base the argument on what Ross initially criticized Jeezy for (lack of buzz, Ross saying he took Jeezy's spot, and push backs)? Sales don't speak to any of that. Buzz doesn't equate to sales (especially first and second week sales). Buzz is basically the hype machine and discussion behind an artist or project. It doesn't speak to an artist's fan base or the amount of units that artists will move.

Pretty much every high selling street rapper that sold alot had a connection with their fans at one point (50,X,Pac,Jay etc)Ross dont. Some of his biggest fans think thats his real name. His music is not genuine enough. Now I dont listen to him enough to kno how much of his real life he put in his music. But the songs i do hear just seems so far from reality. Ross raps about a guy tellin the feds that he sold Ross dope:rudy: thats not real. Jeezy on the other hand had that actually happen. Ross got talent, but he need to open up more. That CO thing hurt too as much as people say it dont matter

50, X, Pac, Jay weren't high selling records based solely on a connection with fans. Each of those artists had something that Ross didn't. They all had Top 10 hits. Beyond making hits and having a connection with fans, they (well, Pac and Jay at least) remained consistent and snow balled into much larger entities. That's where 50 and X slipped and a connection with fans wasn't enough to sustain them as most of their fans lost interest after album #3. They started out huge and fizzled out.

GFID>>> TM103

However, I gotta wonder what kind of a fukked up 360 Ross has that the label pushes him so hard. Universal must be eating good of Ross, cuz dude still can't outsell Jeezy but is getting all the hype.

I thought Waka was big, how am I supposed to know?

I don't listen to most of that down south garbage.

Anyway, Ross should have became a household name with this album. Wayne did it with the Carter 2, Hov did it with Vol. 2, and T.I. did it with The King.

A bit off topic but X never had a Top 10 hit.

It almost seems like half the nikkas who fukk with Ross (I'm not saying nikkas from this site) only fukk with dude because he seems like the "It" music to listen to because he's pushed so hard on people. He got like a million videos, works with big other big artists, signed a lot of promising acts, always on tv, always at award shows. You see Ross in everything.

I don't think as many nikkas actually feel his music as much as he and some of his stans do. nikkas is giving him every platform to succeed in the mainstream and when he doesn't, nikkas give him every excuse to why he didn't. I feel if more cats actually fukked with him like that he'd have at least one plat plaque.

Meanwhile Jeezy encounters mad setbacks and drops an album that wasn't his best shyt, but it still sold cuz nikkas actually fukked with him and anticipated copping it.

This, 100%.

People talked for months about how nobody gives a fukk about Jeezy any more....Ross comes out and sells less....and somehow it's spun into success.

Nas dropped like 70% the second week, people were eager to say he lost, despite the fact he's been around 20+ years. The same damn thing happens to Ross 5 years into his career, and people make excuses about how he's catering to "the streets".

It's amazing how many people Ross has brainwashed.

Fred.
