no im telling you its 40 :what:

no you DO NOT have to pay for it. youll be let out of the store with just your ps4 in hand and no extra controller. no one will have a gun to your head making you buy a 2nd controller i promise you :aicmon:

the system comes with a controller. there you go. if you need an extra you pay for it. makes sense. the ps3 controller is not the same despite the similar design.

if im arguing with a :troll: account jokes on me at this point :pachaha:

if not :wow: the stupidity of people
:what: You are the one that asked "Whats an extra 40 bucks?" YOU. Don't act like somehow I stepped off the short yellow bus.

And yes, if I want a second controller I have to pay for it. I can use 10 smileys too....that don't make me smarter than you so stop it. You are trying to justify paying for something thats the same. Stop trying to simplify the argument as if you meant it that way the whole time, just so you can back away from the keyboard and say "I told that guy.....". No sh!t, if I don't want to pay for it, I don't have to. Why we trying to act like that was the argument?

The argument is whether you should have to pay for something that you have. I say no. For some reason you feel that its okay. Thats fine....but stay on topic or bow out.

You don't have a controller with a light bar, touch pad, & a share button though. :beli:

You're acting like they're giving us the exact same controller from the PS3 & calling it dualshock 4. This isn't the case.

My n!gga....are you gonna be using your controller as a MOVE controller? Seriously? Again.....you need form AND function. Not just one of those and it has the functionality with the "blue light" but how do you plan on playing Move games with that controller as opposed to the wand-like controllers? This is my point....bruh. You add sh!t that doesn't make sense so you can say "Hey....you gotta buy another 60 dollar controller.....I mean....it has MOVE built into it.....we don't quite know how you'll use that....but its got it.....so you have to pay for it......" Its ridiculous.

Thats because they went from 2 buttons to 6 buttons. The only thing different about PS4 controller is a share button, which isn't mandatory to play games and a touchpad that probably won't be used in most games or at least won't be necessary to play the game. Its like adding bullsh!t just so they could have a valid reason for you not to use the old controller. Hell the only reason they got away with it from PS2 to PS3 was because they went wireless. Then they tried to take the rumble out of it. SMH. No one should complain if a company is being innovative. But when a good portion of your hardware is the same sh!t don't try to slap a new coat of paint on it and tell me its something new.

What else other than a share button and a touchpad?

Whats another 40? Whats another 60? Whats another 100 or even 200? Thats not sound logic for buying something thats basically the same. Now if the functionality of these new controllers are drastically different meaning they make so much use of that touchpad that you can't possibly use an older controller, I'm fine with that because I'm getting a better all around experience because they are implementing new gameplay experiences. But if I'm using that touch pad just to play a PS4 version of Angry Birds in Space...yes.....they can eat a d!ck. Just because I desire to have a PS4 does not mean I should have to take whatever is shoved down my throat no questions asked. Thats what an idiot what do.....you sir are not an idiot? Are you? I assume not. So as far as I'm concerned, my arguement is a valid one.

Now you are attempting to go a different route because you can't combat the logic. You are the one that asked "Whats another 40?" Now you are trying to tell me its not another 40? You are right because they are usually more than that. And it is another 40 if I have to pay for it and I already got a damn fully functional controller at home. Its 40 bucks I shouldn't have to spend and instead could spend on a damn game. I know your mama told you money do grow on trees. I'm not conjuring the sh!t out of thin air. So yes, excuse me for not wanting to pay extra for some sh!t that I already have. Excuse me for questioning the sh!t ON A MESSAGE BOARD.....

:what: You are the one that asked "Whats an extra 40 bucks?" YOU. Don't act like somehow I stepped off the short yellow bus.

You don't though..

& I'm pretty sure the light bar isn't so you can play move games, but it detects where each player is in the room, & also gives more improved sensitivity to sixaxis type functions. Sony's been experimenting (see: six axis on the dual shock 3) so I don't know why this is a surprise to you. Plus you act as though that on top of the touch pad & share button, they didn't change the texture of the sticks, feel of the triggers, and texture of the controller.

It's completely different :manny:

I get why you think we should be able to use the dual shock 3 on PS4. Both are wireless PS controllers. However, that's where the comparison ends & you don't seem to understand that

it's painful. there are people out here buying $180 qanbas and even crazier stuff than that, and many have several because they like seimitsu parts for king of fighters games, and sanwa for everything else.

i have two wii sticks and the wiiu still uses those. PS4 cant let itself get beat by wiiu on this issue :wow:

I dont think you will be able to use old xbox controllers either. Sony has restricted A shyt of things with this next system the industry doesnt care about consumers. we as consumers seem to not care either.

The Passage of Time
What else other than a share button and a touchpad?

The changes from DS3 to DS4

1. multi touchpad that is clickable, that can be used for zoom function i.e. ipad ect.. as well as using your phone for going from one page to the other, just think of your iphone when searching the web. There are some great game ideas it can be used for.

2. Light Bar, that works in concert with the PS4eye that will sense depth location, and will allow the camera and mics to focus on you and where you are, that also picks up the color of your controller to differentiate you from the 2nd player. Also the lightbar can be programmed to be a health indicator and change colors too reflect damage level/health.

3. Analog and trggers have received an upgrade, to be more senistive and less deadzone and decrease latency. Rumble has been upgrade also.

4. Speaker- where you get in game audio, based on what the dev wants too send to it. I can imagine playing NBA 2K shooting a FT and fans saying crazy stuff and it comes out the speaker on the controller as well as on court embiance.

5. Share button already been explained

6. Options button where select and start are located as well as other stuff

7. Head phone Jack

8. DS4 can be charged while the PS4 is off or low powered(energy saving mode).

Do you still think its' the same?

Everyone wants something for nothing now. shyt annoys me.

"fukk buyin an extra controller for N64 yo. Ima wait til they make my SNES controller compatible. Oh yea make sure I can play my NES carts in there too :birdman:"

mmmhmmm.

and the worst part about it?

the absolute WORST part??

they already own the sh*t they want for free!

"damn, this ps3 controller is the best, i dont want to let it go."

then dont! play ps3 games for the rest of your life.

PS4 leak brings rumours of specs, controllers and multi-user logins -- PlayStation Universe

this report right here makes it sound like basically the controller is going to be what connects you to the console as a gamer. that sounds redundant as hell, i know. :what:

but basically, youll be able to have 2-4 people sitting in a room, all logged into their playstation name, all earning trophies, and that light bar is going to correspond to the color of their avatar on the screen. (and yes, i know, 360 had this since launch, but fwiw, i've been jealous as hell of that feature since launch :ninja2: )

theres a reason it's a new controller for a new system.

uncharted 4 is going to come out making full use of that touch pad, and people on here want naughty dog to port it down to ps3 level so you can't use all the features?

and all the people saying that touch pad is useless... have you stepped outside your house lately and seen an angry bird every 5 yards? one of the most popular (if not the most popular) video game franchises on the planet right now.

now IM not saying that game is great (it is,) but sony is basically allowing its users to play ANY big mobile game on their ps4 now, just with the inclusion of that touch pad. it might not seem like a big deal, but if you watched that whole presentation, you can see their goal is to eventually have the playstation brand EVERYWHERE--from your living room, to your tablet, to your laptop, to your phone.

it sounds crazy, but if you could go from playing fruit ninja on the way home from work, save it to the cloud, turn on your ps4 while the wife preps dinner, and finish up whatever level you were on...

i think a lot of people are missing the whole "social" aspect of it. yes, it's going to "connect" you with friends, but it's also meant to be a more fluid experience... gaming everywhere. so, to accomplish that, the playstation 4 needs to be as similar to the vita as possible, which needs to be as similar to a tablet, or whatever phone sony has coming down the pike... probably the xperia SOMETHING, to fully utilize the playstation suite.
