When they said no backwards compatibility, I guess that's exactly what they meant

Edit: my bad, I'm at work and couldn't put the link in with my phone for some reason. This was on appygamer but I'm sure it's been mentioned on a lot of other sites by now

:pachaha: You really thought you would be able to use PS3 controllers on the PS4?

I'm not even a gamer like that but why would they do that if they trying to sale those new fancy state of the art controllers? If they did that, people would just take the controller that comes with the console and use their old PS3 as the 2nd controller.

That would be nice if it did, , but business wise it wouldn't be smart on their part. I sure a nice chunk of their revenue is selling $40 controllers

thank you. i just said the exact same thing to my friend yesterday.

you want to use your ps3 controller? play your ps3 games? use your ps3. :hmm:

cant think of one game this gen that i have platted that i would go back and play again. not a single one.

got a few games left that i still own and havent platinumed that i want to wrap up: arkham asylum, deus ex, and a ratchet and clank game.

ill finish those off, box up my system, and once games from the ps3 era start showing up on the store, ill buy some from my backlog when ps+ discounts them.

Thats because they went from 2 buttons to 6 buttons. The only thing different about PS4 controller is a share button, which isn't mandatory to play games and a touchpad that probably won't be used in most games or at least won't be necessary to play the game. Its like adding bullsh!t just so they could have a valid reason for you not to use the old controller. Hell the only reason they got away with it from PS2 to PS3 was because they went wireless. Then they tried to take the rumble out of it. SMH. No one should complain if a company is being innovative. But when a good portion of your hardware is the same sh!t don't try to slap a new coat of paint on it and tell me its something new.

I'm pretty much moving on when I get the PS4 anyway. Same as I did with the PS2 before getting a PS3.

So non-B/C controllers? I don't give a fukk
