So now that Trump won the election, what can the Democratic Party do better to have a chance in 2028??

Technically by doing that certain places would lose electoral votes while other places will gain. There’s a max of 538. But I don’t think that’s enough history tell us that if we build up something they will destroy it by various means.
Like I told him last night, going from 3.5% to 5.3% in a red state doesn't do anything but dilute our strongholds. The NY to NC pipeline is probably the exception.

Black people not leaning into dissention and actually showing up where we do have strongholds is more important than being drowned out a little bit less in essentially sundown states.

Obama won twice because Black people came out and voted.
Obama was an outlier.

A smooth talking, charismatic, great orator, that was Columbia University and Harvard University educated, united the people, and he was handsome (pause).

He also benefited from George W. Bush’s inept leadership from his handing of 9/11, 2 wars in the Middle East, and mishandling of the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe.

In a lot of ways it was a perfect storm. Moderates were ready for something different.

Racist rural White Americans and Rust Belt cacs responded by creating the Tea Party which was a direct response to Obama which pushed the Republicans further to the radical right.

Insert the White House correspondence dinner where Obama dissed Trump and Trump came running to those same Tea Party voters with a message of dog whistle racism, fascism, and a populist message and the MAGA movement was born and pushed the Republicans even further right.

I think you underestimate what Obama’s two terms in office did to the psyche of racist Whites in America.

As others have said it seems Democrats went too far left when it seems most of this country is centrist-right. Like you can have some progressive policies but not too much.

I was very surprised at the NYC margin this time around which means Democrats really fukked up in their messaging.
I was watching some stuff where Spanish people locally were asked where they were leaning and getting money was a big deal , but just as much was the LGBTQ pandering struck a nerve, really the gay and trans stuff. When older people are like "I just want men to be men again," that showed that while America's heart might have meant well, there's so many cultures that honestly that still don't have room for that shyt. If it ain't baddies making out and still letting the man smash, we ain't interested. Latinos are very religious when they wanna be, which is exactly how Republicans are, so Republicans were able to meet Latinos and some Black people there.

The Gaza/Palestine stuff and Ukraine stuff, the messaging from Republicans just made it seem like there's all this money that could go to us, but we're busy wasting it there. Democrats made it seem like there was something in it for us to handle those wars when there isn't.

I agree with that. My family didn't vote for Trump but they were in support of him as well for the same reasons. They don't like the LGBTQ pandering, they are very religious so they don't believe in abortion, and they were scared of all the illegal immigrants crossing the country. Those topics came up more in debates than the actual economy :francis: .

If you don't do something for your most loyal voters, they might stop voting for you. No other group votes 90 percent for one party. That's not something that you neglect and let fall by the way side. However, when you prioritize being racist over winning, you get what you get.
No offense but you are looking at the game incorrectly. Other groups get what they want because they have the capital and lobbying power. Black don't have neither one. While other find ways to influence the government, we traditionally "just ask" and that's not how it works now. :manny:

Rebuild and encourage our unregistered black folks to register and vote. The black turnout is absolutely saddening. We have to do better.

Esses showed their as in Jersey, they trynna make this state purple.

Dems will need to focus on latinos and ignore queers to win. They'll probably start blatantly ignoring us since we don't have the numbers to carry this party.
Sad but true

I wouldn't say the whole campaign but she was definitely leaning more on to that side or tried to.
:why:

She spent months courting Republican endorsements and built her campaign around winning anti Trump republicans, suburbanites, and white women. There's nothing progressive about a dikk Cheney sponsored candidate that runs on securing the border and building the most lethal military force in the world.

That’s an outrageous viewpoint
