So my 27" iMac arrived

because when you working in an industry when everyone using macs it makes no sense to go otherwise


and it is always the price point that got you dudes shook, obviously I know i can get some PC that's cheaper and more powerful but I also prefer the setup of the iMac and minimalist design, so if I pay a premium for it that's nothing to me

I get that if you are in a certain industry a mac is the way to go, but its like you dudes always have to state "I'm caked up" as a reason to further validate your purchase. That is what I am getting at. If I was into video editing or something like that I would cop a mac, but that would be my main point, I wouldn't be thinking if I am caked up enough to do so or not.

Them sh!ts are nice. One of my boys got one.....but the money spent for what you get? Its just not worth it. I've given up that battle long ago though....fukk it....if you like it, then you like it, and thats all that matters in the end I guess.

I make good money....but I just can't do it. I love the aesthetics and I have a perfect spot for one in my crib but sh!t.....the value just isn't there for the money spent and that fukks with me. I'm a hood n!gga that made it and I just can't shake that mentality. If I bought that sh!t I just couldn't enjoy it. I might get a few wows after a few people come over and see it for the first time but after that? I'd hate myself for spending that cash on it knowing just what I could have built for that same amount

I think that's my stance on it too. I've owned a couple of Macs and still have an iMac G5 laying around, but I will never drop over 2K on a computer again. At some point the performance gained by getting the latest and greatest doesn't even make sense.

i5 3750
16 gigs DDR3, 1600mhz
gtx 560 ti
1 TB HD

and a well ventilated case.

i have a friend with the same mac you have and that thing gets REALLY HOT.
good luck with the lifespan of the hardware...and you can't replace the parts when they go bad either.
