that has to be worth more than that, the monitor alone costs about half as much and I believe you can actually use it as a standalone monitor (you could with the previous models)

The only reason the iMac is expensive is because there is a market for people who want to save the space and focus more on aesthetic of the screen and not having a giant nerdy pc case taking up a massive amount of space.

If thats his reasoning then let him live. Pc power thats being spouted while nice to have most people don't need it. For most people an ipad for browsing and a cheap pc or laptop with office and excel will give them what they need.

But if your a professional it depends on the industry...dj or film editor a Mac or or MacBook Pro is essential

If your a financially day trader and you need multiple screens to stay on top of trades buildinga Pc with a graphics card that allows for multiple screens will be a good investment
