The last movie made $1B+, the second $800M and the first $700M, that's a $2B franchise and you're talkin about why Paramount are green lighting more . As seen with the flop and wack ass Pacific Rim, no, not any bum could have made a Transformers series successful, Transformers was a niche franchise before the films, could have easily flopped due to it looking overly corny, "geeky" and having no human element like Pacific Rim did.
Man only these nerds on the Internet hate those movies, the other billion people in the world at least liked them enough to see all three of them.
