Panther is one of the few heroes thats' bout that life....He be cutting heads off, snapping necks, slitting people's throats..
He set one dude on fire if remember correctly.
Plus we need somebody in the Marvel movies that can regularly put Stark in his place. T'Challa been making a fool of Tony Stark for years.

black panther was one the last avengers on the og roster so it wouldn't bother me

Do you mean OG as in pre-Bendis or OG as in during the 70's.
He was one of the last during the 70's but he certainly wasn't the last of the "Classic" Avengers.
Panther was an Avenger before Vision, Black Widow, and Falcon.

Furthermore, The scorpion kingis probably the closest thing to what a BP movie would look like and it only did 165 mill on a 60 mill budget
I'd argue Stargate is closer since it had sci fi elements.
Wakanda is supposed to be a high tech civilization with an decidedly "African" aesthetic.

my bad, i'm not even that knowledged on the history. just found out about black panther about 3 yrs ago, disgusting that he isn't one of marvels main stream characters.
earths mightiest avengers should give most folks a decent perspective on why he's nice. i originally assumed was just some black batman knock as well.
fact of the matter is, if they actually do it justice, i think he could easily outsell thor, ironman and captain america. my worry is they'll set the movie up to fail. the story is just too powerful for a lot of white folks to accept, it'd cause a spike in racism.

If they make a BP movie they'll make it for maybe 40 mills and cast a total unknown

Oh I know it would, all you gotta do is look at how some white folks reacted to The BET animated series and the comic it was based on.
I even remember reading a story about some white dude trying to start a fight because he was mad that Panther smacked up Captain America.
