It doesn't say anywhere that they're casting Black Panther....bytch ass Marvel has gone on record saying Black Panther wont be part of the next phase 2.

Punk ass exec talking about It'd be hard to create Wakanda even though they making a movie that stars a talking tree and racc00n in space. :stopitslime:

If they were to be casting a movie though, Nate Parker would be my first choice.

They may not be "casting" but, they're looking. Those actors aint all contacting those directors for nothing :manny:

I think Nate would a good look too. He played good in that new film with Richard Gere, "Arbitrage". Crazy that he's almost 33 but, doesn't look a day over 24.

Red Tails was a history movie, it was going to be a money maker, no matter what race it was. It should of been on the History Channel or HBO. No movie maker should ever base their decision on an outcome of a movie like Red Tails.

Black Panther would be another Blade or Spawn if the want to do it like that. It cant be any worse than Green Lantern. Since its attached to the Avengers franchise, its a guaranteed hit

They're not looking. They haven't even started looking for a director. They've only had ONE draft of a script written up. Most of those guys were just making public statements about wanting the role when it was believed it was going to be the next Marvel franchise (before it was announced to be Guardians of the Galaxy).

It's no different from that dude who was lobbying to play Luke Cage, just because actors are trying to get the parts doesn't mean the studio is working on the film in the near future.

They really can't even do a cameo since they'd need to cast an actor and they're not going to do that until a director is in place.

Marvel ain't gonna sink $150 million into no movie starring :mjpls:

shyts sad. Blade essentially kicked the Comic Boom movie phenomenon into high gear and now that they can get by green lighting any and EVERY white hero they can they don't give a fukk....

Eventually they're going to have to make a Black Panther Movie...

People are catching on an noticing that "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" are a bunch of white guys.

Non comic book fans are asking these guys questions now about bringing in more female characters and some non white characters.

After news broke a while back that a Black Panther movie was being developed at Marvel, actor after actor threw his name in for the title character. From Anthony Mackie, who will be portraying Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, to Leverage actor Aldis Hodge, many have let it be known that they would love a crack at T'Challa. Another actor who threw his name in the mix was Noel Clarke, but according to Clarke Marvel just flat-out doesn't want him. "They’re not interested, man. I’ve tried everything. I’ve offered to write the film, they’re not interested. Obviously I’d love to play the part, they’re not interested, he told DenOfGeek. Also back in 2009 Clarke tweeted that he would be interested in doing a Black Lightening or Supergirl movie for DC. However, DC apparently shot him down as well.

There has been no word on just exactly what Marvel is planning on doing with Black Panther. With the announcement that they were developing a movie most thought that it would occupy the release date that eventually went to Guardians of The Galaxy.

I think Omari Hardwick, Nate Parker or Andra Fuller would be cats to look at. Its gotta be an unknown cat :manny:

If not a Black Panther movie, he should be atleast in someone's movie beforehand. Otherwise, its going to look too obvious as to why they left him out and he is one of the key players to the Avengers.

Tru, but I'm like... You guys just made a billion off Avengers. You can't drop 150 million for a Black Panther movie that people are asking for? You are about to make another billion with these Iron Man, Capt and Thor Movies. 150 million is easy for Marvel and Disney now.

Cameo this guy in the next Capt movie or Shield show. Then give him the movie for 2014.
