Because fox isn't forcing anyone's hands by actively using characters and properties that they paid marvel for 30 years ago when Marvel offered them. Thats like saying you sold me a car, I'm using the car and doing what I want with it but you're mad at me for not using the car the way you would when you already sold it to me. It's not yours anymore. We had a legal transaction. Fox didn't hustle Marvel on some Snidely Whiplash type mess. Marvel offered, they accepted the terms of the deal, shook hands and here we are. And now that Marvel is making movies they want to cut their nose to spite their face? And again, it's hurting the fans first and foremost. I'm not mad at Fox for not doing whatever Marvel wants them to do because they're not obligated to do so.

Also yes, as a fan who reads and buys comics, I am seeing it from my perspective because that's the one that matters. Unlike the rest of the film room, I don't sit on Marvel's board of directors and collect a check on a weekly

Fox never said they were mad though. Fox is doing their thing. Fans are the ones who are paying the price and the ones who are mad. I'm not worried about anything other than people like me and the other x men fans who are getting bent over with no vaseline because marvel has become the equivalent of the kid with the basketball who takes it home with him because the game isn't going his way.

I mean it's obvious. And the fact that cats are actually taking their side on this is stunning. They're penalizing fans for a business decision. No one told you to sell the film rights 30 years ago but you did. Live with those consequences. They can't do that to deadpool because his popularity this decade has been organic and people would revolt. And the crazy thing is, them treating the x men like stepchildren have made casual fans assume the books are terrible when they're not. So it has this trickle down effect and when guys like Claremont speak up that lets you know something's in the water. Same reason we haven't had an x men cartoon in years.
