It literally our form of government. Not sure what you are butt hurt about. I didn't watch the retarded video so I have no idea what those cacs said. The fact is we are a representative republic or whatever similar name you want to call it.
You should watch the video. Technically you are correct. However, the foundation of this country is based on us being a representative democracy.

Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution
The “republic” part implies the people hold the power, elect their representatives, and elect (or appoint) a president–not a monarch. It is undoubtedly true that the United States is a constitutional republic, meaning the country rests its foundation on a constitution–the supreme law of the land. Moreover, a “republic” is a form of government where the people hold the power. However, the representatives that Americans democratically elect exercise that power and do so subject to the rules of the Constitution.

Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution
The perfect example is the electoral college. We don't vote for the president on a 1:1 basis. Depending on where you live, your vote can have more or less power.

Also, it's important to protect the rights of the minority. Which is what a constitution does. We can't do that and have a pure democracy at the same time.

I stait up quoted the constitution of the United States and you are still trying to argue. :snoop:
Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution
Yes, you quoted the constitution and yes: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government - but you are not including that this Republic Form of Government is democratically elected.
