the problem is when the jets traded for tebow they made it appear like he'd have a legit shot at starting if sanchez faltered, not the case, they sold him and didn't deliver on their word. that said, tebow isn't owed anything either.

did anyone from the Jets organization ever say this?

And why do people ignore practice for Tebow? He has apparently been awful in practice yet deserves time over McElroy who looks better? Thats bullshyt.

Jesus must be let down

:rudy:
Jesus forgives. I don't.

Didn't his teammates just rip him in the media a couple of weeks ago? I mean he's gotten fukked over in New York, dude needed to stand up for himself.

lets keep it 100, these are the same teammates that went behind his back to the media telling them he sucks...The same coaching staff that refused to give him a chance over the worst starting QB in the NFL...So you can't really blame dude for telling them all to go eat a dikk...

The team rejected Tebow LONG AGO. All he did this weekend was gracefully step aside. Nobody begged or insisted on Tim's participation with the wildcat. Jets could not possibly care less.

A prophet is never recognized in his own village. But one day, the stone that the builders rejected will become...the cornerstone. u_u

--> aq out <--

It's not an entitlement issue, it's called standing up for yourself...

This coaching staff has treated him like shyt from the start so he said fukk it, yall don't want me to play...I won't play...There is nothing wrong with that IMO...

Thank you for the support. God bless.

It was ok for him to leapfrog Brady Quinn though... :jawalrus:

I'm better than him though. :yeshrug:

I still don't see what the Jets organization did that was SO wrong in this whole situation... they traded for Tebow, in large part due to them wanting to make a splash, but they also thought he could help them win football games... he comes into camp and they find out that he's terrible, so when Sanchez gets pulled, they go with a guy who presumably has been outperforming Tebow in practice all season

I actually have respect for the Jets (as a Fins fan, that hurt to admit) for sticking to their guns and letting a guy's play determine whether or not he got snaps... they traded picks for him, they had every incentive in the world to play him... especially Rex Ryan, who was (and still is) on the hot seat, so if he legitimately thought Tebow gave him the best chance to win football games and possibly save his job, why wouldn't he do it? Not to mention the extra attention the Jets would receive in the media by starting Tebow (which was partly the reason they traded for him in the first place).

Is there any evidence at all that Rex Ryan told Tebow he'd be the starter at any point and reneged on his promise? Like someone said, Tebow was the 3rd stringer in Denver last year and leapfrogged Brady Quinn, so how is this situation THAT much different to where Tebow's actions are justified?

Here's how I look at it. Tebow got lied to and screwed over by the Jets, though it's hard for me to feel bad about it. I think the Jets made false promises to him and he took it, partly to play but also to be in NY and be a big star. He should have known he was only here to be a sideshow. The Jets were never gonna play him 20 snaps a game. They were never gonna make him a backup. He was only there because of Sparano and Woody. Personally they should have used him at some point, especially with Fez being a worse QB than he is. Both QB's suck, but Fez is a p*ssy too. I can't say Tebow would have lacked the mental fortitude Fez lacked. Tebow and the Jets used each other and both sides lost. Let him go home, let's kick off rebuilding year #44 and just move on.

But when Vince Young bucked on Steve Fisher, it was a whole different story huh.

They ignored it for Mark all last year.

Truth be told, McElroy has always been the best QB in practice, better than Mark. McElroy got the Triple H jobbing treatment because of the shyt he said last year. Rex never forgot that.

so then Rex is an idiot for not starting their best QB. Thats fine, but Im not about sit here and sympathize for Tebow. He sucks and he is entitled.

I just don't understand how a professional who is getting paid a LOT of money can pull some shyt like this... at least be discreet about it, shyt, fake an injury or something lol

can you imagine going up to your employer and saying "yo, I usually just browse The Coli when I'm at work anyway because it's always slow, so fukk it, I ain't doing shyt around here anymore even if you need me.... oh, and by the way, I'm still gonna get paid during this time too"

I never believed Rex's "he gives us the best chance to win" shyt. Nobody did.

I just understand why Tebow would be miffed at not getting a chance when clearly the incumbent QB couldn't hack it. Tebow quit on the Jets. Woody Johnson gave up on the Jets when he traded for Tebow and extended Fez in the first place so everyone got what they deserved except for the fans.
