It's an entitlement issue. I've been to their practices. Anyone with a pair of eyes knew he was the worst passer at practice. He knew it too but rested his laurels on beating a bunch of below .500 teams in Denver.

This is actually the first time I've criticized Tebows behavior.
That's not saying much doggie because nobody on the Jets roster can throw the damn ball...All three QB's are terrible...

Statistically it's pretty damn hard to be any worse than Fez was this season...

The Jets could of cut ties with him after they discovered he was trash if that is their reasoning for not playing him.

I'm sure he's not the only garbage ass player in the league, though. There's tons of backups in the NFL who are just that for a reason, backups. There's 25+ other 3rd string QB's in the league, what makes Tebow's situation any different? Plus, I think the Jets legitimately thought Tebow could help their football team in a Jim Jensen-like role, using his versatility and athleticism in the wildcat package. So if they sat down and said "McElroy gives us a better chance to win at QB, but we still think Tebow can help us in other ways", then I don't see anything wrong with that.

What I do think is wrong is Tebow responding with "oh, those other ways you think I can help you win? Nah, fukk all, that- either play me at QB or don't play me at all." That's some bytch made shyt.

The team rejected Tebow LONG AGO. All he did this weekend was gracefully step aside. Nobody begged or insisted on Tim's participation with the wildcat. Jets could not possibly care less.

A prophet is never recognized in his own village. But one day, the stone that the builders rejected will become...the cornerstone. u_u

If he was black it be a problem...but lets keep it 100, these are the same teammates that went behind his back to the media telling them he sucks...The same coaching staff that refused to give him a chance over the worst starting QB in the NFL...So you can't really blame dude for telling them all to go eat a dikk...

everybody says he sucks, i get it though

but hes just going to another team next year and the same dissension will happen

when owners start picking players to just sell tickets thats when the problem starts

Dog...it means something regardless of the end results youre pointing at after the fact.

He didnt earn it at practice....period. I was there when he threw the screen pass into the stands. He was worse then Simms who they cut. Yet he was listed as the number two. It's no doubt an entitlement issue.

Good for you, Tebow! I don't blame you one bit. They brought you to NY for all the wrong reasons. And look where it got them! "We're sticking with Sanchez because he gives us the best chance to win." So, how'd THAT work out for ya, Rex? You're down to a 3rd string QB. At least you know that Sanchez ISN'T your best chance to win!!
Tebow, good luck to you next year.....wherever you wind up! And Rex......you're a moron.

Tebow standing up for himself. Good for him

mad props to Tebow for standing up for himself

Rex is more of a problem than their QB situation is. He's a terrible coach that knows nothing about offense and makes a super bowl guarantee every year.

i am rooting for rex to be fired.

He didn't want to get hurt playing a meaningless game for a team he is not playing for next year, PRETTY SIMPLE, and good for him.

Why Jets fans so mad. You all hate that he stopped "not playing" for a sorry excuse for a team when you guys won't play him. The team sucks and chose their third string over their second for fear that Tebow might get them wins and now the coaches and staff have to give the credit to Tebow. Crybaby no, man with class treated like trash yes.
12 fans like this.

release him. let the Jaguars claim him and be done with it. Tebow is over the Jets foolish games, and I don't blame him

Rex Ryan is a complete fool!!! I hope he gets fired!!! What a pathetic excuse for a coach

It's about time Tebow stood up for himself after being constantly mistreated and abused. It's insulting how the pathetic Jets have used him, and I don't blame Tebow one bit. I would've done the same thing. Props to Tebow. Hopefully he'll get the chance he deserves next season ELSEWHERE!

Take out the words "Tim Tebow" and replace them with "Jay Cutler" with the same storyline, and everyone would be tearing him apart for quitting on the team.

Man if he was black...

They moved him before they got Peyton.

It was just a smart move.

It was after they got Peyton Manning that they moved him. Remember Elway saying that Tebow would go into the next preseason as the starter for the Broncos?

Doesn't matter, this Tebow shyt is getting even more ridiculous for everybody involved at this point.
