I'm sure he's not the only garbage ass player in the league, though. There's tons of backups in the NFL who are just that for a reason, backups. There's 25+ other 3rd string QB's in the league, what makes Tebow's situation any different? Plus, I think the Jets legitimately thought Tebow could help their football team in a Jim Jensen-like role, using his versatility and athleticism in the wildcat package. So if they sat down and said "McElroy gives us a better chance to win at QB, but we still think Tebow can help us in other ways", then I don't see anything wrong with that.
What I do think is wrong is Tebow responding with "oh, those other ways you think I can help you win? Nah, fukk all, that- either play me at QB or don't play me at all." That's some bytch made shyt.
If this was anyone else this would be all over the sports channels. Now watch Tebow go to the Jags and they win like 9 or 10 games next year and be hailed as the savior again. The guy thinks he's a starter even though every other team except the Jags believe otherwise. Can't knock him for believing that but i think he knows it's getting to be close to the end of the road if things don't pan out for him next year. At least as a starting caliber QB. He could always change positions and excel but i don't think he will do that.

Ain't nobody really think he would take Denver to the playoffs neither did they? And i am far from a huge Tebow fan. But good results usually happen in the end when he is on the field. Though he makes it look as ugly as possible.
the problem is when the jets traded for tebow they made it appear like he'd have a legit shot at starting if sanchez faltered, not the case, they sold him and didn't deliver on their word. that said, tebow isn't owed anything either.
No they didn't. They said he was a #2 from jump. They NEVER said it was an open competition or said he had a legit chance at starting.
