You don't ditch your teammates, bruh. Anything less than a thorough lashing from the media is racism, plain and simple.

this is basically how I feel about it, too... for someone that's always being described as "a leader", "positive role model", and all the other dumb ass adjectives that get thrown his way, this is a bad look no matter how you slice it... the media loves nothing more than to build people up and then tear them down, so maybe this gets talked about on ESPN

The team rejected Tebow LONG AGO. All he did this weekend was gracefully step aside. Nobody begged or insisted on Tim's participation with the wildcat. Jets could not possibly care less.

A prophet is never recognized in his own village. But one day, the stone that the builders rejected will become...the cornerstone. u_u

John Elway saw it coming and moved him.

Smartest man in The league this year.

I remember that thread on :hamster: saying Elway would be a fool to not build around Tebow. I wish we could transfer :hamster: threads here.

Err...he's paid to play. What kinda entitled fakkit takes himself out of a play cuz he's butthurt? fukk him. Learn how to throw a fukkign football and you'll get playing time.
It's not an entitlement issue, it's called standing up for yourself...

This coaching staff has treated him like shyt from the start so he said fukk it, yall don't want me to play...I won't play...There is nothing wrong with that IMO...

Did he defer when he somehow jumped Brady Quinn for the starting job last year? :mjpls:

I still don't see what the Jets organization did that was SO wrong in this whole situation... they traded for Tebow, in large part due to them wanting to make a splash, but they also thought he could help them win football games... he comes into camp and they find out that he's terrible, so when Sanchez gets pulled, they go with a guy who presumably has been outperforming Tebow in practice all season

I actually have respect for the Jets (as a Fins fan, that hurt to admit) for sticking to their guns and letting a guy's play determine whether or not he got snaps... they traded picks for him, they had every incentive in the world to play him... especially Rex Ryan, who was (and still is) on the hot seat, so if he legitimately thought Tebow gave him the best chance to win football games and possibly save his job, why wouldn't he do it? Not to mention the extra attention the Jets would receive in the media by starting Tebow (which was partly the reason they traded for him in the first place).

Is there any evidence at all that Rex Ryan told Tebow he'd be the starter at any point and reneged on his promise? Like someone said, Tebow was the 3rd stringer in Denver last year and leapfrogged Brady Quinn, so how is this situation THAT much different to where Tebow's actions are justified?

It's an entitlement issue. I've been to their practices. Anyone with a pair of eyes knew he was the worst passer at practice. He knew it too but rested his laurels on beating a bunch of below .500 teams in Denver.

This is actually the first time I've criticized Tebows behavior.

The Jets could of cut ties with him after they discovered he was trash if that is their reasoning for not playing him.
