This is what I believe also...I think a lot of ppl want just 1 or 2 places for streaming content...I think the big conglomerates may be over playing their hand in thinking that we gonna just pay for all these different streaming services....like if I want NBC they better have everything show from the 60s til now available same with all of them ....that's the only way I'm going to be enticed to have more than 2 streaming services....even if a big studio like MGM comes out with a streaming service they had better put everything up for the customer to view...not just picking and choosing, nope Everything

No one gives a fukk if they can't watch Friends or The Office. If you really stan that show you can use torrents / pirate streamsite / you probably already owned the blu-rays.

Netflix pumps out ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING every single day. The way they have it set up is very cost efficient, and get programming from all types of actors/directors/studios etc.

You asking me to choose if I would rather have a few exclusive vintage titles, or a gang of new shyt every day that may or may not be good, I'm taking my chances with all this content I enjoy on Netflix.

Yep, what's great is that, with HBO for example, their library isn't big enough to stay subscribed to it all the time (unless you want to watch your shows on a weekly basis), so you can just subscribe for a month once all the episodes are out and then cancel it when you are done.

This comes down to the question of whether consumers would rather content from the past or only new content. I'm personally cutting Netflix down to bi or trimonthly once they're fully originals.

Most of the studio or network owned outlets are going to live off of nostalgia while adding new content less frequently than Netflix. You kind of want to root for Netflix because they're the only streaming platform that lives and dies by Netflix.

If WarnerMedia or NBC Universal fail, they'd probably just start licensing their best content again.

If I were Netflix I’d try to get at Image comics and see if they can adapt any of their series.

They bought Millarworld, so they'll have shows based on those comics. And it doesn't matter if hardly anyone has heard of them. They just need to make good shows.

I don’t know what will happen, but I do know they have terrible quality control. The ratio of quality vs trash is really low and the quality shows get lost in the pile.

It got so bad for me trying to sift through all the garbage shows, that I stopped checking for anything that has “Netflix Original” brand.


It’s to the point, I cancelled my account. I use my brothers account from time to time for comedy specials mostly or shows recommend by people I trust.

Netflix shows and docs are A1. They come with multiple originals that are great every couple months. And their originals are better then anything on broadcast by far

I guess they have the money to do that, but that’s terrible for Quality Control.

Your broadcast networks only from 7-10/11 pm 5 days a week.
The rest is long running soaps or daytime talk shows and news.
HBO only worries about Sunday nights forreal. And theyll debut a movie on saturday sometimes. The rest of the time is random movies.
Amazon is where Netflix was when they were just starting but majority of their selection is free run movies.
Netflix has an entirely different load than anybody else.
Folks talking about Disney but they're going to increase their production by a lot to sustain a good streaming platform even with Fox stuff cause most of their stuff is gonna old reruns of shows too and i can bet mo ey that the simpsons gonna be the most watched thing on their platform for a period of time.
