If I'm Portland, I don't want Ben, I rather get RJ Barrett or Herro+picks in exchange for Dame.

If all else fails, trade Ben and George Hill(salary dump) to the Hornets for Terry Rosier. Hornets can shift Ben to the 5(Simmons is the same size as Cody Zeller, but he can switch better on wings).
This is a good trade for both sides, the Sixers get off Simmons' contract and get a guard who can get his own shot(Terry), the Hornets get a more athletic person at 5 and who will play better PnR defense.

That would be interesting, but no way in hell would Simmons want to play the 5. AD still runs from playing the 5, I don't think Ben would want to guard guys like Joel or Bam, etc.

I'd still do that deal though, Rozier was great in stretches, but the end of the season showed me he's at best the third option on a contender

I’m going to die on the hill saying that an aggressive Simmons can be just as good as Giannis. Thing is we hardly ever get that Simmons. But if we did, he’s a similar size, better passer, ball handler and quicker. Neither one of them can shoot. One of them is 0-0 from 3 and the other is like 4-50 from 3 and idk which one is worse

Simmons shot is done too. At this point Sixers gotta take an L and keep it moving and get out of that monster contact. 4 years $147 million left on the contract of a guy that can’t stretch the floor or play in the 4th quarter. In the Celtics he wouldn’t need to stretch the floor since the team is not built around a Center. Simmons is just not a fit for Philly with Embiid as the main guy and he ain’t bringing you another star unfortunately.

He takes the ball out of both guys hands and that makes them ineffective. Ben needs to play with someone like Steph Curry who doesn’t need to have the ball to light you up.

I don’t think Ben Simmons needs the ball like folks assume he does. He’s not an amazing scorer so why does he need to control the rock? His passing isn’t that much better than the two players I mentioned as well. The things he’s elite at have nothing to do with handling the ball to me.

Because he has way more space to operate. He was never a good fit with Embiid..but the attention Dame attracts is gonna open up all kinds of lanes for him. He'd help Dame out alot better than CJ could too

Atlanta has a player that I feel is way better than Simmons in DeAndre Hunter. He just hasn’t been healthy all year. Think he was the 3rd overall pick in the draft last year. Can drive to the rim. Can defend. Can shoot. I expect big things from him if he can stay healthy. Trae needs wings who can make a12 ft J when he’s in trouble. Simmons can’t do that
