Wwe star power is way bigger than AEW. This is not an overstatement.

Brock lesnar
Rey Mysterio
Aj styles
Jeff hardy
Randy Orton
Daniel bryan

A whole bunch more that would automatically be game changers if they hypothetically jumped ship tomorrow.

Tna was hoisting around Christian back in 05 like he was a grand prize when dude wasn't even considered a top 10 guy on the roster by the wwe.

Aew would be chewing at the bit just to get a midcarder guy on the roster.

christitan was held back in the WWE because vince didn't like him.
but in reality, he was one of the hottest wrestlers in the WWE when he left in 05. he was certainly a grand prize when he jumped to TNA.

half of your list are not game-changers.
orton disappears for months at a time and no one cares.
jeff hardy didn't change much for TNA and his prime was a decade ago.
same with mysterio, altho hes just as big and/or a bigger star than Jericho, who people are treating like hes hulk Hogan all a sudden.

If you think Christian was a game changer in tna, but a Daniel Bryan or a Lesnar or an Orton wouldn't be a game changer to company that just had Jack swagger as a big reveal I don't know what to tell you.

Brock definitely yes

everyone else.... after their one week debut probably “meh”

But then again it really would come down to how they use them, the change of scenery would draw a lot of folks. But people aint gonna be tuning in long term consistently to none of those names Sans Brock just like they ain’t tuning in to see them now.:mjlol:

That's not true at all cuz if that was the case a Dean Ambrose or a Chris Jericho wouldn't be considered a big deal for the company & vitals assets.

Another thing Orton & a lot of these guys has been associated with the wwe for years so you can't compare that to the impact they would have to a fairly new start up company in need of more stars.

The fact is that anybody I just named would make an immediate impact on a smaller brand.

It's been too many examples of this to say otherwise.

Tna made bread for years off of Jeff hardy & angle.

Jericho kinda been gone and had that NJPW thing going on before AEW and he was very successful there.

With Dean, it was kinda special for him with just the way he played the E leaving. Not to mention he too is coming off a strong NJPW run and if I’m not mistaken but ain’t he still currently a champ over there still?

Either way them 2 alone both kinda got that NJPW “wash and rinse” before coming straight to AEW and we’re already making very positive noise.

You seen Tye Dillenger ain’t necessarily treated the same and put on that exact same platform as say them 2 and even PAC who is in the same boat as them (washed thar WWE muck off them in another company). Yes he had a nice match and angle with Cody but after that he kinda just now “a guy on the roster”

Again I think the shock of them being their would be huge, won’t deny that but it also will come down to what is done with them weeks later. Cuz “coming from the WWE” I don’t think is enough.

Like you said “Orton and a lot of those guys been associated with the E for years” but most of the years haven’t been all that high level great. Probably more damaging than career elevating if we being honest

WWE roster has more recognition obviously because they’ve been putting guys on tv for years. With that being said, if Seth left to go to AEW would the ratings go up for a significant amount of time? I don’t really think so.

The whole no star argument is bullshyt. Kenny Omega is a star through and through. The dude single handedly allowed NJPW and ROH to start selling out in North America, he provided a boost that no alternative company has ever had. He is a draw and sells tons of tickets, the surrounding he has made himself helps but he is what put AEW on the map at such a quick pace. Angle failed in TNA, so did Sting, AJ etc no star outside of the WWE has had such drawing power since the prime of WCW.

Punk & DB were the last legit stars they “created”.
:yeshrug:
And you could argue they were already stars before WWE based on their independent work.

They thought Roman was gonna be next but they forced it too much.

Punk and Bryan were worshipped and had the total attention of most so called marks. I remember even watching the E when Punk debuted but then quickly gave up watching it, same for Bryan and AJ.

I followed their career, their biggest matches and biggest promos, I was a fan way before from their ROH days to NJPW for AJ. To me these 3 were can't miss super stars and i remember in 2002-2005 thinking they are all future champions in the E and being excited about it.

Now I just wish they never went there and went elsewhere because yea they attained star status from the E's perspective but I lost interest in them completely because nothing they could do interests me anymore. The last WWE match i ever watched completely was Nakamura va AJ at WM and holy shyt was I laughing from how bad it was

Bottom line is no they were not WWE creations, none were, they were polished and developed elsewhere and handed on a golden plate for the E. The last stars the E developed are probably Roman and Wyatt? Man we're far far away from the days of HBK, Austin, Bret and the Rock.

the point is, these guys are big deals.

and as for the rest of the roster, they assembled an all-star team, plucking wrestlers out of other feds.
essentially the same thing the WWE did for their current roster, and they got their dudes from the same pools that AEW snatched people up from.
so how is AEW suffering from a lack of star power, but the WWE isn't??
if you look at both rosters on paper, it reads like they just had an expansion draft with each other. the WWE just has a lot more guys on payroll, but that cancels out, seeing how the WWE has to split the roster up in 3 or 5 different ways.
please stop. yall need to come back down to earth. AEW roster is comprised to Marco Stunts and Sonny Kists and Sammy Guevaras. Are we really trying to compare that to people that have been on mainstream tv for years? We tryna say Hangman Page and Orange Cassidy are something? While WWE people been on all kinds of mainstream shyt for years. Big E was just featured on the Errol Spence fight a couple weekends ago.

Hey man 1.4 is 1.4, Smackdown until very recently was getting 2M viewers a week and got billions for it. 1.4 is worth billions at this point.

Yes these guys are something, together they draw, they sell out arenas and draw 1.4M. Take 95 percent of the roster from the WWE and have them do what these guys did and guess what? I'd bet on it failing. This has not happened before and might never happen again. This needs to work, 1 for the E to lose its North American monopoly and 2 for us fans to have an alternative which is needed from the constant shyt the E shoves in our throats.

I say I, but I don't watch the E, I'd rather fist myself with a frozen cucumber than spend 5 hours a week watching this trash. You post pics from media outlets and 4 months into AEW being a thing I could post many.

4 months within the WWF's creation, they were nowhere, 4 years, nowhere, it took over a decade for shyt to start moving and here we have a company that's not even a year old doing all of this and you're trying to say it's not enough.

The next time you 69 try going on top because Vince's nutsack while dangly might not be the most comfortable thing you've had flapping on your face.

Edit; oh and if mainstream attention is your idea of good wrestling then you need to stick to the E, no wonder you're so passionate about something so mediocre, the fukk you do, record and post stats on media appearances?
