I listened to the new commentary track with Del Toro on the Blu Ray. He's keeping it real on that very informative. He talks about how he thinks Wesley is one of best actors that can do comedy, action, drama, and misses him not seeing him doing movies anymore. He also talks about how he really wanted to do Blade 3 but he was tied up doing another project and a lot of the stuff that didn't make into his version of Blade 3 was in his books called the Strain.

So my message to Del Toro if you really feel that way about Snipes why don't you put him into some of your movies then? Take that risk like Antoine Fuqua and Sly are doing.

hes worried about his azz

lol pretty much no longer an underground director now. He wouldn't be where he is at today without Blade II that opened many doors for him. Now he established and don't want to go against the grain to mess up his new cash flow.

unless he's the producer as well, its not really up to him

the producer has the finally say, unless they give the authority to the director much like a owner would differ to the GM he's hired
to draft players

I have an executive summary right now if Wesley Snipe cast for the lead, but they didn't have a Letter of Intent with his signature in the package

so there's work out here for him, I think eventually he will be back on, people are scared shytless of the IRS

btw they needed to have blade fight with different weapons in 3, like a staff or some nunchucks instead they had him using the same weapons from the first, what little i caught of blade trinity back in the day i saw him fighting with his rope dart looking thing and it looked bad ass, but he only used it to kill 2 vampires in generic fashion, meh, they could have went all out like this

I like Blade but I'm more partial to the second one. My man Guillermo del Toro just working gold there. Blade the first did give us this line though.

This movie had one of the greatest lines in movie history.

"Some motherfukker's always trying to ice skate uphill"

:wow:

Apparently a scriptwriter got that line after overhearing Snipes say it during a phone convo with one of his lawyers :lolbron:
