Dude is definitely under-appreciated as an actor as of late. Blade was definitely his baby to be honest he put a lot into that character for the first two movies until he was sabotaged for Blade Tragedy aka Blade Trinity.

Here's a clip of the da god promoting Blade back in 98 on Howard Stern. Kind of funny interview too. :blessed:

Wesley got a lot of natural swag going on in this clip. Got some funny ass one liners too. Talking about how Robin is a "fly on the wall in this conversation" and how she likes "a little milk in her coffee". Then at the end when he was walking away in the hall he was like he can give her a good breast massage. :russ:

i finally saw blade trinity, its not bad but it isnt great either, i was just watching for the fight scenes, only problems i had with it were how blade and wistler got defeated and wesley in his over acting screaming when he got caught, then dracula and most of the head vampires looking like slaves to fashion, would have been better had drac been rocking something babylonian, i did like the red devil dracula i thought that was cool. but yeah darkstalkers were wack i never saw the theatrical ending so the uncut was supposed to lead us to believe that blade turned heel?

I loved the first Blade movie

the cgi blood was a bit much, even back then I thought it looked funny

Wesley Snipes killed it

great action and such a cool dark tone
not a fan of techno at all but this movie had me

yea I gotta say the tone of that first blade flick is unmatched imo it just felt gritty and raw but still cool to this day they werent overdoing it at all... love the music too and the colors they used shyt was just bleak and urban looking imagine a batman flick with that kinda setting or the punisher

Dr. Karen: a black woman helping to find a cure the for Blade: BLACKEXCELLENCE:blessed:

...the 90s don't get enough credit for displaying Black faces from all-walks-of-life on screen:patrice:

If they wanted to do Blade Trinity right they should of brought her character back that she was the one that created that Day Star virus. Then it would of brought the franchise into full circle. From what I heard Goyer and company didn't really like the character so that's why never brought her back.

The only thing I disliked about the Blade films was that Blade was sexless. IIRC in Blade 2 he was suppose to have a romantic interest with that vampire daughter, but it was scraped. Every other comic book movie the main protagonist is never sexless....

Blade started that Bullet Time shyt

But Matrix got all the credit. And Blade jump started the comic book movie craze but doesn't get the credit he deserves

John Woo circa: 1980's actually but yeah I hear you The Matrix has some of the stiffest martial arts sequences I had seen for some time and they abused bullet time (in fairness a lot of movies do)

But blade really kickstarted that comic book movie craze after those horrid Batman sequels (OG Franchise)

I love this flick though the little messages littered through out it plus both leads brought their A game Snipes & Dorff came off like they had legit animosity.

Blade II is the best of series in my opinion it up the ante of everything the first one did, added in the horror elements, comic book style action. On screen Nomak was the best foe for Blade to fight and gave him a challenge. I have to disagree with the love/sex interest I am glad they decided not to go that route in the Blade movies. That's why I like movies like Blade/Blade II, they hint at it but don't dwell on the love connection.

That's what I hate about most comic book movies is the generically added love story for every movie. At times that really brings the movies down for me. A lot of the times it is so forced and just there to bring in the female audience. Every superhero movie doesn't need it especially in a trilogy of movies. Hopefully more directors/writers/studios will take note.

Captain America 1 and 2 did the same thing; they hinted at him having a love interest but didn't dwell on it that much. Even though it seems they are setting him up to maybe have love interest for Cap 3. Watching both Thor movies love interest just seemed so forced and corny to me. That's just my opinion. I know there will be some saying that's how it is in the comics. Sure it's in the comics but not every story is always revolving about a love interest.

They kind of did at first Snipes and Dorff. When Dorff first started shooting some scenes he wasn't playing them up to par. So Snipes put him in check.

According to Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff on the commentary track, there was a slight clash between Snipes and Dorff while filming the hostage scene where Blade and Frost first meet in person. It was Dorff's first day, and while he was trying to establish Frost's motivation, approach, etc. Snipes became impatient and tried to counsel Dorff. Dorff became incredibly frustrated and said he felt overwhelmed since David Fincher and other notable filmmakers visited during filming and added further tension to the frantic on-set nature, forcing Snipes to assert his producer authority and make decisions. Snipes would tell Dorff that it was essential to trust in him, not only as the starring lead but also as producer. Snipes goes on in the commentary to say: "For a while...there wasn't that trust."

Wesley is really that dude listen to both commentaries from the Blade 1 & 2. They are very informative in every aspect of these film productions.
