Good bye Coli(2014-2020)
Blade II is the best of series in my opinion it up the ante of everything the first one did, added in the horror elements, comic book style action. On screen Nomak was the best foe for Blade to fight and gave him a challenge. I have to disagree with the love/sex interest I am glad they decided not to go that route in the Blade movies. That's why I like movies like Blade/Blade II, they hint at it but don't dwell on the love connection.

That's what I hate about most comic book movies is the generically added love story for every movie. At times that really brings the movies down for me. A lot of the times it is so forced and just there to bring in the female audience. Every superhero movie doesn't need it especially in a trilogy of movies. Hopefully more directors/writers/studios will take note.

Captain America 1 and 2 did the same thing; they hinted at him having a love interest but didn't dwell on it that much. Even though it seems they are setting him up to maybe have love interest for Cap 3. Watching both Thor movies love interest just seemed so forced and corny to me. That's just my opinion. I know there will be some saying that's how it is in the comics. Sure it's in the comics but not every story is always revolving about a love interest.

Well I get what you're saying with love/romance being forced in action movies. I too get tired of it, but what I was really trying to say(and not trying to put race it this, sorry if I do), but it seems a lot of black protagonist in comic book/action movies remain sexless, thats just what I've seen. I know people will disagree.

But yeah the love angle in Thor definitely was corny and forced.

I agree what you saying as well about that but how many black comic book characters in movies we've had? Steel, Blade, Nick Fury, Falcon, Non comic book, Hancock, Mantis, Meteor Man lol. Another question is how many black actors are getting lead roles? Denzel, Will, Idris Elba, Jaimie Foxx, Sam Jackson, Chiwetel Ejiofor etc. There is only like 2 or 3 black actors that have a good track records with good financially successful movies. I am wondering how Will Smith's next movie will do? because he's been getting non stop bad press since After Earth, so this could have a negative impact on his movies for now on.

They kind of did at first Snipes and Dorff. When Dorff first started shooting some scenes he wasn't playing them up to par. So Snipes put him in check.

:damn: that was exactly the scene I was referring to.

Seems like a lot executive meddling was going on, it must be difficult being the main guy on screen and behind the scenes, you know there had to be a lot of :mjpls: fukkery.

Man that cast was actually solid, the only way superhero flicks have a chance is if the whole cast are able to act their asses off.

From what I got from it from actually listening to the commentary is Dorf wasn't putting enough intensity in the scenes he was just sleep walking the lines at the time. Maybe because it was his first day on set who knows. Even if Snipes wasn't the producer he would still spoke up about it that's just how he is.

:dahell: guess sly want me to download his shyt instead of pay for it then

Sly said he wants wants teenagers to pay this time around instead of sneaking in to see it. He also stated what added to his decision was movies like James Bond, Bourne Identity, and The Dark Knight were pretty raw that were PG-13. I don't agree with him with that statement but I guess he trying to cash out since this supposed to be the last one of the franchise.

Yea the first 2 blade flicks are so damn underrated....I still watch them every time they come on TV mustve seen both at least 5-6 times each. Trinity we aint gonna talk about :snoop:. But regardless what comic book movie did it better while keeping it grimy at the same time? Wesley murdered that role too

Snipes gets overlooked in these movies and doesn't get the credit he deserves especially for Blade 1 & 2 he put his all those two movies. If you remember at the time it was off of Snipes name what brought people to see the first Blade movie, not too many people knew who Blade was from the comic books. It was Snipes who gave Blade his Bladeness (The Look), designing the weapons, and bringing in his fight/stunt team for great action scenes. As well as putting the directors and writers in check stating Blade wouldn't do certain things that was in the script. Snipes also gave input on adding scenes that were not in the initial script when he felt there wasn't enough. In the first Blade script Blade was supposed to cry when he see's his mom. In Blade II it was written in the script that Blade kill the vampire embryos in the test tube beakers. Snipes said that's something Blade would not do, so they showed Whistler doing it. So Snipes contributions always get overlooked and get overshadowed.

Goyer and New Line just released the BluRay version of the first two movies not too long ago they are mad disrespectful too Snipes in those, they barely mention his name and they edited a lot of stuff that was in the original DVDs that Snipes was in. I have the original DVD releases for both movies back before Blade Trinity came so everything was good at the time.

Blade 2 was pretty much a WWE Paid Per View. Remember Wesley making entrances like the Undertaker and performing superplexes and elbow drops of the top rope :russ:
