My Pops Forever RIP
:whoa: what logic is this ? Nicca the nba wouldn't exist without the fans !
The spurs last year had a excuse the condensed schedule . This year they have rest days

Doesn't make a difference. It's Popovich's job to figure out how he can get the Spurs to win a title, not please fans that aren't even fans of his squad.

Look at baseball for example. On any given day, you could buy a ticket and not see half the players that would usually play. The team's not obligated to play someone every day and neither is Pop. Besides, there's a loophole to everything if they wanted to do some ridiculous sanction. At that point, Stern might as well coach, since clearly he thinks Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili should play x amount of minutes every night.

How does he look stupid? If fans stop going to spurs @ (fill in team) that's a lot of potential revenue lost for the league as well as pr move. Im sure the spurs wouldnt like it if every team stopped sending there superstars to SA either.

The tix say Heat v Spurs. Not Lebron vs Manu. fukk the fans. Where was Stern when this was happening last yr?

Its tough, Pops main objective should be to do whatever he feels will help the team win a title. But we all know good and well the Heat, Thunder, Lakers tickets are priced at a higher premium rate not because of the team but because of the superstars on those teams. I know if I paid $500 for lower level VIP seats when the Heat come to town early in the season and found out that Bron, Wade, or Bosh wasn't playing (and not injured) I'd be pissed

Pissed as u may be, u are a fan. U have no say on who a team plays and no guarantee on rotation or minutes played per player. What if a player had a sore finger...should fans or Stern determine if the player should suit up. Pandora's box.

LOLLLLLLLLLL WHAT! you do realize the league promote ticket packages that includes the players and teams being offered to casual fans right? Those " hey lebron james and the heat is coming to town blah blah blah for 50 dollar " commericals are issued because the league has trouble selling tickets as well as revenue issues. if it wasn't for the fans this league would be in another lockout.

:what:

That's not the league that does that, that's the individual sales departments of each team that does that, and not every team needs to resort to those tactics.

That is not a gurantee of line up. They show commercials as well of the team including players that are injured. It does not mean you will see the line up shown in the commercial. I have a ticket package. When they invite you out to "fan appreciation" day and all that and sell you ticket packages in August for the following season...on the brochures and schedules they show and advertise "player x" and "player y" but that is no gurantee of lineup

:wtf: You do realize the league has revenue sharing right? Not only does 15 of the league’s 30 teams barely have enough revenue as IT IS to cover expenses now you want them to not sell out arenas? :dead: Imagine if every team in the league started to not send superstars to SA because of this ...what that be a issue?

Its not a guaranteed lineup when INJURIES occur, not only was those players not injured they were also not even at the area. unless you have some missing information idk about:ohhh:. The ticket packages and Game by game packages are two different things. ticket packages are issued to season ticket holders game by game are issued to the casual fans that are needed to sell out the arena. Its a star driven league and he can't have coaches not playing their stars on the weeks marquee nationally televised game. *

on the brochures and schedules they show and advertise "player x" and "player y"

That's all that needed to be said no one was injured or in the hospital
