I’ll agree with the fact neither of them have actual personalities yeah but I also wouldn’t say they have no personality plus neither one of those guys look regular
They just have no gimmicks and nothing about them stand out

Like remember when the X-men movie first came out they didn’t have costumes ?

That’s how WWE feels likes , no personalities or gimmicks ,

And the gimmicks they do have are insanely cringe like no way Jose , I tried watching wrestling in front of my friends and the new day started twerking like :why:

Personalities yes. Gimmicks are a thing of the past. At least they should be. Gimmicks went bye bye during the late 90s. But you develop personality through mic work and stories. All the mic work is scripted and there are no stories.

When matches are bad it’s on the talent. When the stories around the matches are bad it’s on the company. They haven’t given a compelling story to anything on the roster. Nak and AJ are beefing because nak kicked aj in the balls. That’s it. Some elementary school shyt. The only actual stories going on right now are Sammie and Kevin and then Sasha and bailey. And both of those are kinda the same storyline of friends having issues. That’s it. On a show full of wrestlers with at least 5 hours of programming a week, there are two stories to follow. Oh and whatever the hell they're doing with Roman.

They haven’t given anyone a reason to care about Bryan or anyone else on the roster.

It's really crazy when you think about it.

They have no real angles going in fukking May :dead:

They look like fans
Imagine watching football and the built like James Ellsworth:mjlol:

Those could wrestle sure , but nobody gives a fukk about them , they have zero personality, zero gimmicks

Like what is Seth’s gimmick
What’s balors gimmick

Like why should I care

No mark will answer this question

I’ve been asking for months now, what’s Botcha Banks the boss of exactly? :jbhmm:

None of these play fighters have any character, story, background, personality... it’s all “I’m fighting for a fake belt” :mjlol:

Two things on this: Going through Something to Wrestle With right now and on the Mania 9 episode, Bruce said Vince's mindset for that event was they didn't need any celebrities because the wrestlers were the celebrities. That's telling.

B, on the Masked Man Show, someone said the company doesn't need a "top guy" anymore because there are just so many wrestlers up and down the card, and the company probably has already reached its apex.

So with both of those things in mind, they don't need to know what to do with anyone when they're hot because the company is the star. WWE is the star and the brand and no matter who fills the roles, Vince and co feel like people are showing up for the brand and will continue to show up. Their stock prices are rising, they keep selling out big events, and just got several bags from Saudi Arabia. They're making money hand over fists right now, in spite of themselves. Vince can afford to mismanage or misuse anyone on the roster. He can afford to fumble the ball constantly with Reigns because if you don't like him, there's a good chance you've got your favorites already and you want to see them. He's essentially in "too big to fail" mode right now and sadly, he may be right.

As long as there's no legitimate competition out there, and by that I mean a competition with a big bankroll that can infiltrate American tv on a major channel, he can get away with all of this. There will be no consequences. Even if everyone here who posts on TSC on the regular really wanted to drop the network, we all probably wouldn't because we love wrestling. More than the E, we love wrestling and there's so much damn wrestling on that network. It's why owning everyone's library is such a key move because even when we bytch and moan about the current product, there's shyt we want to see from the past and Vince knows he's the only game in town.

To sorta build on this, it looks like their obsession with social media has probably paid off so far. They're always the #1 twitter trend (how legit that is I dunno) on any given night, and they always putting together their little youtube clips of "entrance pop/shocked reactions/beatdown pop" that get 5 million clicks off mainstream places like CBS Sports. One thing that sticks out to me since I started following again a few years ago is that the only thing that seems to matter from Raw and Smackdown is that they get their 3 minutes of content to put on youtube.

going back to the op
this is wild but I honestly believe that wwe killed off a lot of Bryan’s shine with that CORNY af intro about the “yes movement” they played before his entrance at Mania

anyway you just need a good feud for him and he will be right back on top, everyone naturally loves the guy

More than the E, we love wrestling and there's so much damn wrestling on that network. BARS!

We get on here and whine and complain daily but those fact will always remain. Vince says he wants another Hogan or Austin but in reality he see's all the talent as equals, Austin, was a accident, he had to force Vince into letting him be great, same with Bryan, Hogan was already over before he got there, and Cena in all honesty could have been bigger if they aint force him to be the PG poster child and water him down to the point life long wrestling fans turned away to never look back. So yea in that regard he has made money in spite of himself and that isn't a bad thing for him. But IMO Cena could have been on another level if they let him do him a little more.. but yea at the end of the day none of this can be proven cause the wwe business is making money and we are hooked into the network because of the other shows or classic shyt. This is why I don't start threads complaining about every booking decision or try to spend too much time criticizing or nitpicking the booking, cause I have better things to do and at the end of the day, if they do something good then great, if they fukk up then I wait until next week to see if they can do something better. If I ever get tired of it then I will not watch or say another word about wwe.

They literally brought Daniel outta nowhere and just seem to be spinning his wheels

Like the Rock could quit acting and join WWE again and they’d probably derail everything by having him feud with Bobby Rhode or something

So this has always annoyed me, its like they want a big star sometimes but when they actually have a chance to make one, they waste them on feuds with guys that are not over just cause Vince wants it that way. I was watching Something to wrestle and they were talking about the night Austin challenged Vince to a match on raw and that ended up turning into a feud with fukking dude love. they said ALL of that was just to get him into a feud with dude love. The biggest feud in wrestling history was a complete fukking accident, I remember when dude love came out when I originally watched and being disappointed thinking they were just teasing us, but no come to find out that was the payoff, dude fukking love.. so yea wwe has always loved wasting top talent on corny unover nikkas like dude love and big cass, its like they talk you into believing the larger than life star shyt but actually think all of the guys are equal. Nothing against Mick foley I think hes great but as dude love he should have been no where near Austin, just like Cass should never have been anywhere near Bryan especially a returning Bryan, the ONLY way it could have worked is if the was the Miz's hired goon and they mysteriously went away from that.

Problem with a monopoly breh is we all pay in the end

It's a new low even for WWE though. There's really NOTHING going on, it's even worse than pre-Mania season after Survivor Series. Even if they fail, WWE at least tries to book a big angle at this point of the year that builds to Summerslam. And even in those occasions I don't remember the level of lazyness we've seen this year. Then again, I barely paid any attention in 17' - didn't Owens headbutt Cokeboy though? - next 4 weeks will be very telling imo.
