That's true. In the grand scheme of things, it wouldn't really impact me THAT much, and I'd probably cave.

Still, it would go against a lot of my gaming beliefs...and I'd be as vocal as I could be that it was a bullshyt design decision.

I don't believe the banning used game shyt though. No one is that dumb ( ). But barring a last minute change, I do believe the specs.

People know people who will leak shyt, we can all agree on that. Even with the rumors leading up to the 360 and ps3, most of those shyts ended up being true. 7 plus years later, snitching/leaking is rampant more than ever before.

The big one will be when the manufacturer leaks come. Aint no way to backtrack at that point.

since MS is supposedly working on their first party support this gen, moneyhatting for 3rd party games is dumb. They don't need to. Paying for exclusive DLC will probably continue, but timed exclusives are done for third parties. They don't wanna risk losing money like that especially with the rise of phone gaming.

The RSX specs once announced were quickly debunked as weaker than the video card in the 360. That myth of it being better was debunked quick. The Cell did it's part and had to cover for the RSX. The real strength of the ps3 was always the cell. Ken K knew it, but the price of that and bluray was so high.

Nah, that's snus. It's smokeless tobacco...not like dip or chew. No need to spit. Great for non-smoking places and for intense gaming sessions when I need my nicotine fix without having to stop for a regular smoke.

And you're absolutely right about not being a happy camper, but I probably would protest for a good while.

I always like to have new stuff, but if I didn't have the ability to resell games (both for justifying my gaming habit and for when I get boned by a bad game), I would be seriously pissed.

sony has bad relationships with western developers? nah 360 was alot easy to port and make games for thats why it had more third party games and not only that 360 has a bigger install base in america just like the ps2 did last gen.

If neither console is gonna play used games, the least they could do is drop the retail price of these games back to $50. Since they're guaranteed to make money off of every sale of their games, their profits should pick up over the next few years. Gamestop customers that purchase new releases used are used to seeing games for that price anyway.

It's not just gaming, too...a lot of other companies do this:

Netflix, Nike, Facebook, etc.

They pay six, seven figures to executives and most of those guys are yes men with their thumbs up their asses. They have to look like they were doing something, so they almost always try to fix things that weren't broke.
