this gen was a disaster for developers losing money to gamestop and used games.
they arent making any money and alot of developers closed this generation due to not gaining money ... ea had to make online passes and alot of publishers jumped ship to do the same.

i m sure m$ and sony are going to make the used game doesnt happen again. maybe we will get cheaper games?

I think Microsoft and Sony should find a way to make retailers pay for the ability to sale used games, not consumers.

They should make GameStop pay a fee for resell passes or something.

So you want to play some games but your internet is down, you can't even play if it's a local/offline game because you're not connected? But most PC gamers pay less compared to those that buy console games, and if you have Steam you know the constant sales and how fast the games drop in price.

That's true. In the grand scheme of things, it wouldn't really impact me THAT much, and I'd probably cave.

Still, it would go against a lot of my gaming beliefs...and I'd be as vocal as I could be that it was a bullshyt design decision.

And my backlog is a solid 3-4 years of gaming, if it came to that.:

it doesn't have to work like that. there could just be a one-time thing where you need to be online to activate the game, but after that you don't need to be online. that's more-or-less how it works with steam

I don't believe the banning used game shyt though. No one is that dumb ( ). But barring a last minute change, I do believe the specs.

People know people who will leak shyt, we can all agree on that. Even with the rumors leading up to the 360 and ps3, most of those shyts ended up being true. 7 plus years later, snitching/leaking is rampant more than ever before.

The big one will be when the manufacturer leaks come. Aint no way to backtrack at that point.
