our "leaders" really dont care. They start talking all that black brother hood shyt just to get put on...but everyone is out for themselves.what a fukking shame. this is embarrassing on so many levels, and do these leaders even think about statistics and how this reflects on the future and history. I mean how do I show my child Detroit being black and useless and then magically turning into a booming city AS SOON AS A WHITE MAN IS VOTED IN?????
do these stupid fukking old nikkas think about this shyt? do they not care about the community? wtf is going on here, if youre going to support a black leader with votes you better support him with money and investments too. wtf man, wtf. fukk!!!!!!!!!!!
honestly thats no excuse. my mom was an immigrant and now she works in a fortune 500. I started working at 15 and got into a huge corporation at 20 and got into a mid tier international traveling job by 23. I never once thought about a massa. I know you're talking about collectively, however the fact that we 'know it' means we can divert it. its not like the past when we just didnt know, we were completely ignorant to the social and political complexity, we know it now, even if just 50%, thats a lot of fukking people. we need to do better. we need to start being harsh and hard on each other. No offense Tommy but Massa been slapping us around for 400 years...
They have to fix the schools. Yeah the young folk will move into those lofts and downtown living with all the tax breaks and shyt, but when its time for them to start a family they not gone send their kids to these detroit public schools. It won't be like DC either...at least for quite some time. I just moved back from DC earlier this year. The thing that made DC's model work is that most white folks come into the city for work so it made more sense for them to live in the city. And they torn down all the projects and built townhouses and condos...they first have to create jobs within Detroit for the suburbanites to come back.
You are exactly right on that one! They have to fix the schools. Yeah the young folk will move into those lofts and downtown living with all the tax breaks and shyt, but when its time for them to start a family they not gone send their kids to these detroit public schools.
And they aint all gravy about kids like Mom and Dad wereToo many of yall are too concerned about race. Them baby boomer fukks are all dieing off. These white people don't give a damn about you, at the end of the day this shyt is about money. This new generation wants to be in cities near all the good shyt unlike their parents who ran from cities.
I ain't in Detroit, just speaking from what I know and a interest in the topic. For me, blacks have a chance to do something great here. A last chance.not if all them IT cert ballers come in and start claiming turf and blocks. cmon man. start a fb group, organize for once. yall should be able to claim a 6 block radius of gentrified communities with middle class professional blacks.
Yeah it sucks...but this plan has really been in motion as soon as the Casinos were built...no way were they about to let some nikkas control a city with that type of revenue
And they aint all gravy about kids like Mom and Dad were
My parents were immigrants to Canada and they came up as well. I don't want to say it was easier for us but I can say I have less of connection to the slave trade and stuff. These people have been here and expericenced it. In africa at least on the local level there has been black leadership, every strong black leadership at least for 20 years. My dad's experience as a black man is different then mine or anyone else born in the west.honestly thats no excuse. my mom was an immigrant and now she works in a fortune 500. Bringing hood stuff to the burbs was one of the more odious ideas of the early mid 2000's. There was always racism but when the other black started to complain, that was the time to take a look inside and say hey maybe we should change.Exactly... too often we blame white people for everything and live in Louisiana I see racist shyt go on all the time. However, at the end of the day people hate ghetto shyt. Moving to the burbs bumping your 12's coming into the neighborhood, being loud when people have to work in the morning and typical hood shyt that happens because people do not have responsibility or shyt ELSE TO DO.
The main problem is the hood way of life is ingrained into our fabric and we think its ok to live like that everywhere.
Well downtown is already the safest part of the detroit. Dennis Archer ( @Blackking can speak on this) got everything running and the 2004 Super Bowl as well. They Kwame Came and messed up everything, that's why this didn't happen 3 years ago.

my dad is american tho, creole, and he wasnt rich when he moved from NOLA to Cali (where he met my mom) but he just did the requirements, went to a JC, then USC and then eventually became a teacher for a public H.S in south central while doing his PHD, and then 10 yr became a professor at USC.My parents were immigrants to Canada and they came up as well.
