It won't be like DC either...at least for quite some time. I just moved back from DC earlier this year. The thing that made DC's model work is that most white folks come into the city for work so it made more sense for them to live in the city. And they torn down all the projects and built townhouses and condos...they first have to create jobs within Detroit for the suburbanites to come back.

Good Point... JOBS JOBS JOBS, should be the number 1 priority. And they have to be white collar. Detroit might not by NY or Chicago or LA but it can compete with Philadelphia, Dallas, etc

Well downtown is already the safest part of the detroit. Dennis Archer ( @Blackking can speak on this) got everything running and the 2004 Super Bowl as well. They Kwame Came and messed up everything, that's why this didn't happen 3 years ago.so why are they deciding to do this now, and not say 3 years ago?

unfortunately its like this in every major city.The funny thing is I was gonna give Cockrel the pass, but I heard he was doing some low down shyt with churches.
Thing with this community is, we need to stop giving UNCONDITIONAL passes just cause a nikka is black and INSTEAD praise those that raise us up, and SHUN those that make it worse. That way the future leaders go"better not fumble cause they after nikkas out here" Instead of "Ive got the black community on my side no matter what"
jews are a perfect example on when to defend someone in our tribe and when to shun them, that way they MUST act in favor of the community in fear of being shunned.
