:russ: at the thread title. Coach KKK? :comeon: Don't be disrespectful. How can Coach K be a white supremacist by having a half-white player prove that he is better than two black players? That in itself is just stupid.

Other than that, please proceed with arguments that someone who just made the All-NBA 2nd Team somehow needs to beat out someone who hasn't played a minute in the NBA and someone who is only able to perform if he has "Los Angeles" on the front of his uniform.:mjpls:

smh did yall nikkas not watch the 2010 Championships? LO was the 2nd best player on that squad when none the stars wanted to play. LO skill wise and the way he can be used on the squad>>>> The dude can do it all. The nikka had a terrible year, but once they practice and if he is half of the player he once was, the dude is gonna make it easily. If he shows any motivation at all, the US squad is straight

"Aldridge is having a terrific season," Team USA Director Jerry Colangelo said of the selection during a Monday morning conference call. "He also has some physical attributes we're quite interested in. His length is important. He can shoot the ball and pass it. He can get up and down the court. We certainly always look for the very best we can find in big men who have mobility and can defend."

"I think I can definitely fit into the group," Aldridge told Blazers.com in video comments. "Give them a good dynamic, being able to shoot and run the floor. I think that's big in Euroball."

"LaMarcus has been a guy that USA Basketball has been interested in for a number of years," said Trail Blazers Head Coach and USA Basketball assistant coach Nate McMillan. "He's a guy that fits into the style of play that Coach Krzyzewski is looking for, an athletic big man that can run, play defense, shoot the ball, and is versatile enough to play several different positions. I think he would be a great addition to that team."

That's the type of big men the team is looking for. With Howard and Bosh out, they're looking for another big to protect the rim. Davis was the #1 guy in college and they're giving him a workout to see if he can do it in international play.

Blake isn't stretching the floor, isn't gonna play defense.

And yeah, what would team USA want with Odom, a 6'10 guy that can pass, handle the ball, stretch the floor, rebound, has experience in international play and playing for Coach K?

You acting like Anthony Davis won't be co-starring in a Blake Griffin poster within 6 months :shaq2:

Dallas thought that they were getting a guy who could pass, handle the ball, stretch the floor, rebound, and...:snoop:

:yeshrug:Let's all stop acting like we don't want to see Blake Griffin dunking on the rest of the world. Let's stop acting like we don't want to see the "Dunk of Death" Redux.

If Coach K wanted that Blake wouldn't be fighting for a spot right now.

As if the arguments against Blake couldn't get more pathetic.....
:childplease:

Name ANY part of his game that he improved upon. He shot a higher FG % primarily due to the fact that he is now playing with Paul...easy alley oops all day long. I hate criticizing players so hard when they don't even have 2 full regular seasons in, but people are elevating this cat way too early based off ESPN highlight mixes. Dudes are acting like he is an automatic olympic pick and shyt :wtf:

Let's break his game down:

Lower PPG
Lower RPG
Blocks are still low for someone with his athletic ability
Free throw percentage decreased to 52%

He should stop shooting 3's or anything outside the paint actually.
% from near the rim - 73%
% 3-9 feet out - 44%
% 10-15 feet out 27%
% 16-23 feet out - 37%
% from 3 pointers - 18%

Now I don't want people to think I am not a fan of his. He is a great talent, but that boy needs to work on that shot. I am shocked at the 37% from 16-23...I would have thought that would have been in the 20's as well.

Don't come with the argument that he is supposed to beast down low because he has no real post move to work with. He is not SHAQ, he is relying solely on his athletic ability. (alright I will admit I am trolling a bit, but still lol)

Your posting all that shyt (statistics), like I don't know it already.

With the injuries/health issues to the 4/5's, he should be ranked ahead of both, Davis and Odom. I'm not getting into the state of his regression, because there are variables that you didn't bother to mention in your post + your singling out of his regression over Odom's.
