It's not from afrocentrics, actual people from Benin believe this.

Hold on let me find the BBC documentary. The reason the british were there, was because they found some artifacts and iron casting in benin that only ancient egypt and china had learned to use. also, people of Benin know about astrology, which at the time only Egyptians and Mesopotamians knew.

1 second...

so what there are people in west africa who believe they are descendents of jews and arabs...does that make them correct?

knowing how to iron cast and about astrology is not unique to people of benin

jews and arabs are not egyptians, so im confused b this question, and of course iron cast and astrology is not unique to benin that's why its a mystery, no one mastered iron manipulation in such a way outside of the main civilizations. those that learned it after AD basically adopted it from the Ancients. but Benin had no 'attachment' to them, when asked how they learned, they stated they were the descendants of the Egyptians to the east. Later they took their dna, and they found that they were related.....

Yo look it up yourself man, this is from the BBC and Dongon Tribe themselves, not me. :bryantshrug:

Your confusing yourself

We were originally talking about the people from Benin and your claim that they were Egyptian descendents. When I asked you for proof you embedded a BBC yotuube link about the Dogon tribe.

What does the Dogon tribe being from Ancient Egypt have to do with the people of Benin?

Which scholars are making the claim that Beninoise people are from Ancient Egypt?

Where are tehse DNA studies that link the two peoples?

Why is it hard to believe that Benin mastered iron casting when the Mande and Yorubas had?

What does iron casting and having knowledge of astrology have to do with being Egyptian?

@Tommy Knocks

Dogon probably picked up iron casting from their neighbours the Mande

Benin probably picked up iron casting from their neighbours the Yorubas of the Oyo Empire

Off topic, but what I heard that I can't find on the Internet was about ancient astronomers like the Dogon and even in China..they way the mapped the stars was that the astronomer would live his whole life in a cave or somewhere dark where the sun never shined in..he would sleep doing the day and only come out at nite..over years his irises and pupils would grow from never being exposed to light..they had natural night vision..that's how they mapped the sky..

I thought it was cool..now imagine D boys on the block doing that..they could evade the police and enemies easily..

wow what nikka, I'm not an AI bot, I am human and make errors.

The Dogon THEMSELVES believe they are the descendants of egyptians. BBC did a special on them wondering how they obtained iron casting and astrology, its currently a mystery.

That's what I heard too.

In Mali, West Africa, lives a tribe of people called the Dogon. The Dogon are believed to be of Egyptian decent and their astronomical lore goes back thousands of years to 3200 BC. According to their traditions, the star Sirius has a companion star which is invisible to the human eye. This companion star has a 50 year elliptical orbit around the visible Sirius and is extremely heavy. It also rotates on its axis.

More from their religion.

The Dogon stories explain that also. According to their oral traditions, a race people from the Sirius system called the Nommos visited Earth thousands of years ago. The Nommos were ugly, amphibious beings that resembled mermen and mermaids. They also appear in Babylonian, Accadian, and Sumerian myths. The Egyptian Goddess Isis, who is sometimes depicted as a mermaid, is also linked with the star Sirius.

The Nommos, according to the Dogon legend, lived on a planet that orbits another star in the Sirius system. They landed on Earth in an "ark" that made a spinning decent to the ground with great noise and wind. It was the Nommos that gave the Dogon the knowledge about Sirius B
