I know they've won before, but the way things are going I don't see it anytime soon.

Royals won in 85 and the Buks won in 71

Mariners best chance was in the 90's with griff, randy, jay and edgar
Liverpool (prem)
Browns

Yeah, but they'll never win it again.

I think the Cardinals won the Superbowl in like 1933 or some shyt, but I they'll never win it again

Y'all were one strike away... one strike and then one Nelson Cruz catch away... damn. :to:

The Braves knew what that was like until '95. Y'all can still get it done. But with Hamilton gone... I don't know. :ld:

We were one strike away...with one out away.....TWICE.:mindblown:

I expect us to take a step back this year too because of the loss of Hamilton. Our pitching is going to have to overachieve to get us into the playoffs.

I guess they count...

I wasn't really counting championships before the merger. Same with the NFL. But fine, we'll count them.

If that's the case, then you cant count the Browns then, because they won 8 NFL Championships:manny:

And The Cleveland Indians have won 2 World Series Championships while the Cinncinnati Reds have won 5 World Series Championships.

I'm from Cleveland....I know these facts:ehh:

The only pro teams in Ohio which havent ever won a championship are the Bengals and the Cavs

You can't ever say never. You never know if a new owner is going to buy a sucky team and turn it around. You can't change something from the bottom up. It's always top down.

Baseball is a bit different. I'd be willing to go back further with baseball than football or basketball since it hasn't really changed all that much since the 1920s. That's why I said NFL/NBA mergers.

So let's set it straight. No championships before the NFL OR NBA merger. But MLB teams within the past century are okay.

I've been looking up on this parity and history on the pro sports and it seems that some teams just can never put together a contending franchise. Plenty of good teams, but never a real contender that can win it all. After around 60+ years of most of these teams being who they are (minus a few relocation teams and expansion teams), most of these teams have been in place for long enough to have a chance to make a serious win.

So if there are any teams who will NEVER win it all, who do you think they are? A few choices could be:

Houston Astros
Jacksonville Jaguars
Sacramento Kings
San Diego Chargers
Orlando Magic
Charlotte Bobcats
Tennessee Titans
Toronto Raptors
Minnesota Timberwolves
San Diego Padres
Cincinnati Bengals

Just for starters. No disrespect to those teams, just giving out examples.

Excellent thread my friend :ohlawd:

Add the Detroit Lions and Vikings
