This is a weird question. For example, how can you wonder if Astros can ever get it done when just 7 years ago they were in the world series and had a chance? Chargers were contenders for a big bulk of of the mid to later 2000's. Yes their teams suck NOW, but they can improve in the future.

When I think of teams that have zero chance of winning, the first thing that comes to mind is ownership that doesn't care about winning. Teams that exist solely to turn profit and whether or not the team wins isn't that big of a deal to the fans or the owners.

The first team that came to mind with these qualities was the Minnesota Timberwolves. If you have a player as great as Kevin Garnett for his entire prime and can't get it done, that's very telling. And history is about to repeat itself with Kevin Love.

The Royals don't seem to give much of a fukk either.

I'll never say a football team because shyt always shifts when you least expect it. And now look at the Clippers - a team that fits the credentials I mentioned perfectly and yet their a serious contender this year to win it all.

Never is....a long time yo.

EDIT: I'm not sure if you're only allowed to mention teams that have never won in its history ever. I'm talking about teams that haven't won in the modern era.

Even with that, the royals are going for it this season. Piggy backing of what you said, it would also have to be a team of horrific standings and nothing to look forward to (no star, stadium, weak division etc).

Putting down NFL teams makes no sense. League has the most parity and the playoff format has the best chance for an inferior team to get hot and win it all.

Would be an NBA team with the 82 game seasons and 7 game series in the playoffs.

In 46 years of Super Bowls, about half of the teams have not won a Super Bowl. So you tell me. When are the Browns getting close? The Jags? Titans? Bills? Cardinals? Cardinals, Bills, and Titans had their chances. Came VERY close. Then... haven't been able to go on a real playoff run since. Some teams have lightning strike and don't know how to sustain it to a title.

Meanwhile... yeah, some NBA teams are NEVER getting past the 2nd round with their current organizations and owners.

When the first SB was played there were only 15 teams in the league. So it's not like all these teams are having a 46 year drought. Plus I don't believe in curses, so the Bills losing multiple SBs in a row has no impact on their chances to win one today.

This is a league where the Saints, a team people thought would never make it...quickly turned it around after a coaching change and FA QB signing.

The way the NFL is setup now I wouldn't bet against any team making a SB in the next 10 years. I'm much more confident that the Hornets are never winning anything.

The Saints had a massive tragedy which led to a lot of great signings (though Brees was there before then) and support for the team to make it. I could see how they got it done.

Who wants to go to the Jags though (other than Tebow)? Who's lining up at the Titans' office? Teams like the Texans turned it around once the organization flipped around for the better. There are still organizations who have yet to build a consistent playoff team since their inception. Word to my Falcons and the Jags.

Edit: The Wizards have won a championship before as the Bullets. So now the answer is the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Edit Again: The Bucks won in '71 though I wasn't counting titles before any NFL/NBA merger. Should... okay, let's go with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns.

I really don't see how you can say that about any NBA team...

Raptors and Kings both have a shot at winning the 2014 draft to get Wiggins, which could easily turn the franchise around

are we considering pre merger nfl titles as titles ?

Nope lol. So no Eagles titles in here.

Kings have been turning their franchise around for 10 years now. Same with the Pacers. How much longer do they need?

Hell, the Bobcats and Bucks have been rebuilding since '09. :damn:
