I've been looking up on this parity and history on the pro sports and it seems that some teams just can never put together a contending franchise. Plenty of good teams, but never a real contender that can win it all. After around 60+ years of most of these teams being who they are (minus a few relocation teams and expansion teams), most of these teams have been in place for long enough to have a chance to make a serious win.

So if there are any teams who will NEVER win it all, who do you think they are? A few choices could be:

Houston Astros
Jacksonville Jaguars
Sacramento Kings

San Diego Chargers
Orlando Magic
Charlotte Bobcats
Tennessee Titans
Toronto Raptors
Minnesota Timberwolves
San Diego Padres

Cincinnati Bengals

Just for starters. No disrespect to those teams, just giving out examples.

This is a weird question. For example, how can you wonder if Astros can ever get it done when just 7 years ago they were in the world series and had a chance? Chargers were contenders for a big bulk of of the mid to later 2000's. Yes their teams suck NOW, but they can improve in the future.

When I think of teams that have zero chance of winning, the first thing that comes to mind is ownership that doesn't care about winning. Teams that exist solely to turn profit and whether or not the team wins isn't that big of a deal to the fans or the owners.

The first team that came to mind with these qualities was the Minnesota Timberwolves. If you have a player as great as Kevin Garnett for his entire prime and can't get it done, that's very telling. And history is about to repeat itself with Kevin Love.

The Royals don't seem to give much of a fukk either.

I'll never say a football team because shyt always shifts when you least expect it. And now look at the Clippers - a team that fits the credentials I mentioned perfectly and yet their a serious contender this year to win it all.

Never is....a long time yo.

EDIT: I'm not sure if you're only allowed to mention teams that have never won in its history ever. I'm talking about teams that haven't won in the modern era.

Yes this only applies to teams that have never won before. That's why I can't include teams like the Miami Dolphins and the New York Mets. :flabbynsick:

But there are some franchises that just have inept organizations. No matter WHAT talent they land, they just have no clue what to do with it. The Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Browns are two teams to come to mind with all this. Plenty of talent has passed by their teams and they have TO yet to have a real team in years...

This is why I say the Lions. William Ford can give a shyt less if the Lions compete or not. nikkas never got help for Barry. Got lucky in 91 and made to the NFC title game and that's it.

It's a mystery how Millen kept that job for so fukking long and how he got it in the first damn place:mindblown: they've never gone after a big name coach, with the closest being Mariucci:aicmon:
I've never heard him come out like other owners and make a statement regarding team expectations because he has none and doesn't care.

I remember when Millen got fired Bill Polian was working for ESPN and basically campaigned for the job on air. He said he would be on the next plane to Detroit if his phone rang.......never even got an interview.

Just take a page from Mike Illitch book. He's getting old and wants to see the Tigers win a ring under his watch. That's why they've been spending like crazy lately. At least he's trying. He's already done it with the Red Wings.

At this point man it's just.....ahh fukk it, I'm done.
