3.0 and solid EC's and you're fine.

some people get lucky, a lot of people don't get in their first time, it doesn't mean they can't get in, they wouldn't even be put into the drawing if they aren't qualified, there just aren't enough spaces for everyone to get in, so they have to wait their turn. Being a cna/lvn/medical assistant gives you experience so when you do get in, clinicals will be easier for you. I swear talking yall is like talking to retards. People try to put other people down to make themselves feel better. The guy that goes to UCLA described these programs as "bottom of the barrel" two year programs. There is absolutely nothing wrong with community college (which is where my sister started). Not everyone is ready OR can afford 4-year colleges off the bat. If we want to talk about school prestige, my undergraduate and graduate institution shyts on his so he really shouldn't go there.

Reason most people start as a cna is to gain experience which some nursing schools ask for. But any experience in the medical field will also help.
There are also many routes to get into nursing so that's good.

So we go to this spot. . She is busy going off in my car talking about she got a loan and she was a lil late but they cant take her car. . She played dumb. . .. The clincher was my sister n law. She moved here from PA with my brother. She just got her second masters and is a Director of Nursing at a big hospital down here. She wanted to meet my chick. A fellow nurse. . My girl kept ducking her. My sister n law looked her up. Apparently its real easy. She comes to me like. . . Sis n Law - .Um. . General??

Sis n Law - I was getting worried cause your girl never returns my calls and when she is over here she always makes a excuse to leave when she sees me. So I looked her up in the nursing database.

You're talking about individuals who took six years to match into a program. There's being competitive, and there's being in over your head.
You shouldn't have to apply more than three times to be accepted into a decent nursing program.
Either one is overshooting or they're simply an incompetent candidate, which is why they're finding their app at the bottom of the pile.
Apply smartly with a 3.0 and it's not an issue, and if you can't obtain a 3.0+, you shouldn't be applying in the first place.

I'm a medical student, which means my competition and my educational experience was a lot more rigorous than Biology 101.
And come third year, will continue to be a lot more taxing than you or your friends who get to pass out meds and change diapers on incontinent patients during clinicals .
I come from a family of nursers and doctors - there's isn't a damn thing you could tell me. Take it down a notch, pull the stick out of your ass, and stay in your lane.

I always give people the benefit of the doubt first year.
University typically needs a little adjustment period, especially if you were never to studious type.
Add in gunners setting the grading curves and huge classrooms and it can catch you off guard.
But I'm with you. If you're having to retake Gen Bio multiple times at your average public university, you definitely may need to reconsider alternatives.

They ain't making 22-30 a hr. In Louisiana where I'm at CNAs make about 8-11 an hr. Lpn'n make about 12-17 and RNs make about 25-35 an hr. I work in the the lab as a MLS and we make the same as the RNs

What type of education or certificate u needed to be a MLS?? Im a lab analyst in a food lab and thinking of crossing over to a medical lab cause of more jobs available
