The times have past him by. People who still love Supes do not realize this. He's a simple hero in a complex time. People are not into his shtick right now he needs to be done in a critically acclaimed or extremely successful commercial way to get the mojo going in the good direction again.

you can't judge superman's popularity strictly on comic sales because he transcends comics.
who sold more records last year michael jackson or taylor swift. who's more popular. who's music is more likely to still be popular in 20 years.
yes, he is...he's been in other comic related media like cartoons, supergirl, etc......the same as other characters....
yes, the sequel has been announced...MoS2 is coming out after the jl movie...wb announced this along time ago....
i dont follow the numbers like that, so i cant give you the exact number of how his comics are selling for last week.....but last time i checked, his comics or books he was included in were doing quite well, in the top 10.....
what you just said is the same shyt they've been saying about him forever...that the times have passed him by, he's too simple of a character, people are tired of his shtick, etc.....it goes along with what i said about people trying to find reasons to dislike the character....and despite that, he's still one of the most popular and iconic figures...the reason being: the same shyt people wanna dislike him for...the fact he sees right/wrong, no grey, is a good guy, does the right thing, doesnt go against his morals no matter the situation, etc....it's the reason he is still the standard for heroes...

What cartoon is he appearing in right now? Who played him in Supergirl? What do you mean by etc. cause besides the rando T shirt and the upcoming movie I never see any media related to him.
And I googled Man of Steel 2 their is a plan to do one but no release date.

the point is that the mark he left on the world will never be washed away. his music is timeless. it doesn't matter who's poppin off right now, they still aren't more popular or more well known than michael jackson.

The only Man of Steel sequel as in "Man of Steel 2" that was announced is the movie that's now called "Batman vs Superman" WB haven't announced anything post the original DC film lineup announcement

i dont know the name of the actor that played him in supergirl, but he's shown up 2 or 3 times already...and they talk about him in relation to her as well....
and what media are you seeing related to iron man, cap, bats, etc. besides movies, random t-shirts, and other comic related shyt?....none....you making it seem like these other characters are everywhere, when they not...we hear about them when they in shyt, just like supe....except, you more than likely to see supe t-shirts and hear him referenced more than them....

looked at that list...you know last month is only an indicator of last month.....the reason some of those books are high is cause marvel just restarted their comic universe....they are making changes to all the characters, making iron man the center of their universe, making new teams, etc. that's why there is interest in them.....you did know that right?....anyway, how about you look at sales for the year, decades, etc....that site does that too...in fact, i looked for you....last year, supe had a comic in the top 50....i know, top 50 is nothing, right? except when you factor in the amount of comics that come out in a year, events, etc., that's great...i mean, look at most of the books ahead of him: batman, wolvie, and spidey....all had major things going on: death for wolvie, no bruce for batman, and marvel pushing miles more than peter for spidey ......for him to have a top 50 book with nothing major going on with the character is great....but lets not stop there: in 2013, he had 2 in the top 5, 3 in the top 10, 7 in the top 50.....in 2012, he had 12 in the top 50....he has 13 books in the top 50 for the 2000s....he has 10 in the top 50 for 2010s so far....but he's not popular, lol ok.....
