Stic. Thanks for your clarity. I was frankly surprised when I heard whole bars you'd written and performed played to me by Pros and M spit verbatem by Nas. But at the time, I took it as an opportunity to reflect upon my own writer's block. As I said, I tweeted this in passing and find the hoopla corny. I respect all three of you as lyricists.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
So based on that interview with Stic, it sounds like Nas asked him for his help with production and some concepts for what would be somewhat of a concept album, probably because he knows Stic hasb a good feel for the subject matter and is probably a little more astute when it comes to politics and black history than him. They got together and brainstormed concepts and ideas. At the most, maybe Stic contributed a line or two to three songs. :yeshrug: Sounds like when a fiction author consults people for a book they're writing.

Nas still wrote his whole catalog and is still the GOAT. Seems like a non-story to me.

This is exactly what happened...first she said she heard whole verses spit by Nas..then she said whole lines...then he comes at her and says...tell me what songs u talkin bout u heard and convo goes private...I don't know...this whole situation aggravated me...

i don't agree...she implied that jay elec and sticman wrote all of untitled...not contributed or wrote a few lines...but wrote the whole thing. for her to spew that on a blog is lazy as fukk as a journalist...

honestlym i don't know who this b1tch is but she's just a hater...

There has never been any precedent for Nas using a ghostwriter... On ANY album...

Except that he did.

Nore was the one who aired him out about it and confirmed that Jay's line from Takeover was real. Then there may or may not have been a flower pot involved.

:ld:

Based on Nore being the only person who called bullshyt on Havoc losing his phone during the Mobb Deep breakup instead of playing industry politics, I'm gonna rock with Nore saying this a decade ago it never being challenged.

When did he say this? What interview? Even when they were beefiing Nore NEVER said or alluded to Nas using Ghostwriters. So where's the link?

I think you're partly right

but you don't think this has Jay Electronica's exact intonation and lyrical style and delivery and everything? :usure:

This is the Genesis
And I don't even see a worthy arch nemesis

I get loose like the Jena Six
They put a noose on 'Pac
Now I'm defendin' Vick and free that ****** TIP
I'd take the grave or a bed

Then to let some dirty clan members run up in my crib
And plant cracks on the man that's goin' to church
Plants packs on the man that's goin' to work
And build cases

Meanwhile they daddies and they brothers is recruitin'
All my brothers and cousins to fill bases
The nerve of y'all to call Escobar racist
******, ******, ******, ******, ******, ****** hatred

@Nas the rumors in the game is for lames, people speaking on things that they weren't even present for. Your work speaks for itself!

also it's funny seeing all these Nas haters/Jay dikkriders come out in full effect. Elliot Wilson was having the time of his life on Twitter.. that Ether burns slow :ahh:

Jay's lyrical style and cadence are directly influenced by NAS. Not the other way around:snoop:
