When you think about it, the time period before the end of WW2 was a wild ass time in human history. It was the norm for nations to just invade other nations and subjugate people. The supposed good guys in the war had way more colonies all over the world than the bad guys.

Honestly--and regardless of if the Soviet Union entered the war--Germany would've lost as soon as the Americans stepped foot on European soil. There was just too massive of a gap in logistics between the two for them to win in a prolonged battle.

It would have been almost impossible for the UK and the US to win against Germany without a continental ally.

Context I would think could make that possible.
