When I heard Griffin turned down the job I just thought it was because his vision of the team didn't line up with where Mills wanted the team to go, that would've been understandable, but trying to hire to someone just to be a figurehead is weird, lame, and really doesn't call for an extensive search or anything; just promote Allan Houston and be done with it, because really, who the fukk else is gonna want the job:mjlol:?

If your a gm and don't get the top free agents why wouldn't you wait until every team overspends like crazy and then start making offers

Got this quote from the Knicks forum on realgm, where they're quoting a guy from the Houston forums but a guy who apparently has a rep for getting insider info.

100% certain Noah will not be involved in a trade with Carmelo. Things are close, but nothing is guaranteed. Cavs are still trying to stay in the mix.

Portland is willing to trade Harkless and Leonard for Ryno. Knicks will take Harkless, but don't want Leonard's contract. As of now, a 4th team is necessary to take Leonard for a shorter contract.

This fits with all of the recent twitter rumors, but it could easily be speculation. Just sharing because heads on the Knicks forum that are level headed are giving credence to the drop, so it could have legs. Harkless and another asset or two wouldn't be a bad haul to dump Melo. I can't imagine anybody actually taking Leonard though.
