I think your miscalculation is " at the time of the 50/Soulja Boy photo shoot came months after his sophmore release in which he sold about 40,000 CDs and was the laughing stock of twitter. Soulja Boy thought having X amount of twitter followers were going to garner him x amount of sales. He was the early warning system on that social experiment 1.5 million followers equaled 40,000 CDs. He trended for a while on twitter. So it wasn't like he was latching onto SuperMan Soulja.
