Who is Sky talking about when he references rappers and producers that were snakes and not really his friends? The only people I have known him to be associated with production wise is !llmind who worked on this album and 9th from back when he was on Jamla. Emcee wise I have only known him to be associated with Torae. :lupe::lupe:

Album is heat.

If I was to guess, I'd say it was the Jamla camp because those are the people who are noticeably absent from this project.

But they all seem like a cool camp.

I don't know man. Good question. I have no idea why he left Jamla. He and Tom Hardy left around the same time, and there was less 9th production as time went on. I mean honestly Skyzoo was established, lived in NY, and had other producers besides The Soul Council that he could go to. Great Debater came out right as he left, and I think it had a couple 9th Wonder and Eric G beats on there.

Sounds like 9th

But I stopped thinking that rappers and producers was my friends
Cause its a wonderful world til they cutting out the odds
And it turns out loyalty just wasn't in their cards

A Wonderful World is the parent name of his record label/music company, no 9th on any of his recent projects, maybe its a reach but it seems like something went down there b/w the two of them.

What song is this on?

That's 100% right. 9th Wonder/IWWMG (It's a Wonderful World Music Group). He left 9th's label over "creative differences" right around the time Great Debater dropped. They haven't worked together since EDIT minus Jansport Strings. I was trying to find the song people were talking about. I still haven't heard the line, but if he says what you just typed out then it's 100% a shot at 9th Wonder.

Sky and Eric G haven't made anything in a minute either.

The last beat Sky got from a member of The Soul Council was Khrysis on the album with Torae.

they worked together on "Jansport Strings" (after "The Great Debater") but that was the only 9th wonder track on "A Dream Deferred".
