As i’ve said before on this topic..
Skylar fukked up when she WENT BACK TO WALT AFTER THEIR DIVORCE.
She went BACK. KNOWING ALL THE shyt HE WAS INTO
That was the moment she became just as culpable as him.
Matter of fact, if I recall correctly she never even actually went THROUGH with the divorce! She could have taken the kids and cut out and left Walt to his own fate if she was that horrified by his actions. But she saw that pile of money Walt had hidden in the basement and she too was seduced by the potential wealth even though she hemmed and hawed and bytched and cried.
You can’t be half way in and way out. Thats why I think people hate the character. I don’t recall too many people hating on her BEFORE season 4. Which I believe is the season she used WALT’S MONEY (from the business she claimed to “hate”) to solve HER problem. The season her own therapist told her cut out and leave and she..you know…DIDN’T. And a bunch of other flip floppy shyt.

The hate she gets is she spent the “leave the game” money to help out Ted and his own crimes who she was sleeping with. Walt is a piece of shyt, but that led to the crawl space scene where you finally see Walt break bad and become a monster.
Keep in mind he did horrific shyt before the crawl space, but that was nothing compared to the evil he does after.
People hate Skylar because she is a hypocrite. Keep in mind the character does get too much hate, but she wasn’t a victim but an accomplice.

Lol...I was going to say,well firstly, the birthday hand job, and all down hill from there....
I was never full fledged fukk Skylar...but you and many bring up excellent points.
In addition though...the treatment of the actor, Anna Gunn is absolutely horrendous... people really suck as humans... especially fanatics across all forms of entertainment.

Vince Gilligan showed you what time it really was when Walt turned down the Gray Matter job in Season 1
in Season 2 when he kept pushing Walt Jr. to drink just cause Hank got him emotional, when his family was happy he got into remission dude lost it and when he was SEETHING at the dinner with Gretchen
all that providing for the family shyt flew out the window
i feel the same way about Chuck in BCS
he had his own issues and resentment against Jimmy but after 30 years of seeing ur brother cut corners and be a slimeball he was right to

Pleasantly surprised to see so many people agreeing. Skylar hate has always been misplaced. I’ve died on that hill many times on here. 
During the last convo with Skylar Walter literally says "I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it." The Skylar hate was always overblown

It was the lawyer she saw. Skylar told her about Walt and the lawyer didn’t say leave him… she said leave now and while you’re doing that, I’ll go down to the police and tell them everything.
Skylar said “why should my children have to go through that when he’ll be dead soon” (paraphrasing). This is after he moved back in and she had to call the cops to get him out but he still wouldn’t leave.
She never wanted her kids to see her put their dad in jail. That’s why she stayed. And again. That Ted money was for HIM. He paid family bills unknowingly to her. The moment he goes down or she gets investigated, they all go down
You're making excuses for Skylar. At the end of the day there was a way out for her to retain the moral ground. She decided to ignore that way.
Walt had his flaws certainly. Let's not make Skyler out to be the show's moral center. She certainly wasn't

I’m not saying she’s perfect. I never did. I said the hate she got was way over the top. And in the end, if he listened to her, he’d be rich with grey matter or at least better off than what ended up happening. What expect your wife to do?
