So we are going to ignore the fact that without him on the team they are probably the worst team in the league

Cleveland's role players have been inconsistent throughout the playoffs...The difference between the Home/Road production is ridiculous..But yet, they want to blame Lebron.

Nah, they need Paul. His 37 mins are going to be very difficult to replace. No Paul means Mbah a Moute and Green are going to have to soak up those mins for the Rockets and that is less than ideal.
I don't disagree with this. Paul is the "straw that stirs the drink" for the Rockets. When he's on the floor, it's clear that he is the leader. That being said, this Golden State team isn't the same as we've seen the last couple years. It was almost a given that in crunch time or other big moments, the Warriors would make the right pass, get the stop, hit the big basket, or rattle the opposition. The mistakes that they're making against the Rockets...I've hadn't seen this sort of thing from them before. I think THEY are rattled. Definitely Draymond! Obviously, the Rockets' bench has to play big for it to happen, but I think they close the Warriors out in the Oracle. Particularly if Iggy isn't back...but maybe even if he is.

Kerr out there telling fables of how Jordan would pass the ball to get kd some confidence:picard:

All this while getting beat by bron ball on crack. God forbid houston actually tells cp3 he ain' worth the max but bron is :picard:

They stopped playing their type of basketball.

The Warriors are at their best when Curry is the driver, not Durant.

Last night tho, they actually did play good basketball but had a lot of mental errors.

Also, if Durant is gonna post these smaller players up, he needs to get deeper in the post. He keeps catching it about 15 feet from the basket and ends up taking goofy ass shots.

The durant this is mad weird. He waiting as if there are going to be cutters and everyone else just stands around. And he just lets whomever just body him up and get set position. They had better off ball movement with david west in the post/high post.

So we are going to ignore the fact that the "system" is built entirely around him, which is half the reason why the team is inconsistent because there's no real system in their to generate points other than waiting for him to pass the ball? And it's not as simple as "without him"; the squad was built with him in mind, so he could monopolize the ball / control the offense. There's A LOT of talent on that team, they just aren't being utilized properly.

And again, that still doesn't take away from the fact he's down 2-3 to a team led by a bunch of youngn's - if there was this "big difference" like you claim there is, he wouldn't be in this position in the first place. Boston's missing their TWO best players and you're out here coppin pleas for someone that's supposedly 'so far' ahead of the rest of the league.

It's really about the turnovers tho. No team in the league makes worse turnovers imo. I agree about KD tho.
The turnovers would be fine in the grand scheme of things, if they were actually creating a larger ratio of scoring opportunities.

Game 5 - 257 passes, 18 assists (16 turnovers), 34 potential assists.
Regular season - 322 passes per game, 29 assists per game (15 turnovers), 51 potential assists per game

They get the ball over half court

Pass the ball around...and then the movement just STOPS. Then it's either an ISO and a forced shot OR they get trapped.

This is why the Rockets will win this series on Saturday, because the Warriors stopped playing like the Warriors.

I told ya'll...when the Dubs went out there and lost a game that they had well in hand AT ORACLE...that's when I knew this shyt was over and done.

Low key...the Warriors don't even think they can win this series because they stopped trusting in each other. You saw it last night when Kerr told KD to trust his teammates and he STILL got stuck in ISO mode.

elaborate breh :lupe:
Basically this -
Plus, Rockets making improbable contested 3-pt shots with the shot-clock running out (i.e. their offense to a T), v. the Warriors aren't moving the ball, missing clean looks, too many ISO, and fumbling the ball on basic possessions (i.e. NOT their offense). It's been a perfect storm for the Rockets, thus far.

Even if the Warriors play like their normal selves (don't need to be World beaters), they should win the next two games, comfortably, as they did in G3. Just need to wake up and stop fukking around.
shyt will normalize over the next two games, providing the Warriors just play like themselves. Both the last two games came down to 1-2 possessions - it's not like the Rockets were playing on another level - it was just 1-2 shots, that's all. And this is with them making tough, contested 3-pt shots in ISO, the Warriors were missing easy/open looks and trying to do too much by underplaying/overplaying with the ball. The Rockets got the most out of how they play, and the Warriors got the least amount of how they play, and yet there was barely any difference in their performances. The Warriors don't even need that to swing in the opposite direction to win, they just need it to swing a lil' bit.
