I have many friends that were raised in a two parent home that have had the worst childhood. That associate marriage with fighting, bickering, separation, listening to their parents bytch about their other parent, to reconciliation only to be put through the same crap. They dont want to get married. I might be biased because i only had one parent in my life but that wasnt my mothers choice it was my so called fathers choice. Child support is nothing if the father or mother isnt present in their life. I would burn the money to have had him in my life. To see me graduate from high school and college. To see my acceptance letter into University, to have been there at the most important times in my life.

Thats the mistake many males do, they believe that its the money that makes a child happy but its not. Maybe it helps the mother with the costs of bringing up a child but as a child grows they need that emotional support that approval from both parents. That overrides any materialistic thing.
