KD TAKES MORE MID RANGE SHOTS
THAN ANYONE SO THESE POSTS
MAKE ZERO SENSE.

Every star that is a product of today's league is an effigy that is burned at every opportunity on this board. It's the reason why someone like Kawhi escapes ridicule because he's perceived as a 90s throwback.
KD has NEVER been seen as a throwback; Kawhi is.
KD has NEVER had a parallel marker of this board's most beloved player; Kawhi is constantly referred to as today's MJ
KD has been seen as this soft, mentally-defeatist player (contrasted against Russ); Kawhi is seen as this stoic, man's man player
KD broke every perceived unwritten rule leaving his team and signing with the team he lost to in the playoffs; the same team that was seen as the best in the league; the same team whose style of play was seen as everything wrong with today's game.

KD symbolizes everything that this board doesn't like.

And to your point about mid-range shots - it doesn't matter who's literally taking the most, because the majority of folks aren't looking up the stats to see who is, they're simply going off their own preconceived notions and layering what everyone else is saying. Folks' perceptions and agendas hardly ever marry up with reality.

It's why I've debunked this shyt about Kawhi before:
Last four championship squads took significantly more 3s than long-2s:

Raptors: 12.8 shots from midrange; 33.8 shots from behind the arc
Warriors: 20 shots from midrange; 29 shots from behind the arc*
Warriors: 17.6 shots from midrange: 31 shots from behind the arc
Cavs: 17.9 shots from midrange: 29.6 shots from behind the arc
In the Finals:

Kawhi scored 7.5 points on 7 three-point shots per game - the equivalent of shooting 53% from midrange
Kawhi scored 3 points on 3.7 midrange shots per game - 41% from midrange
(far less efficient and points than his 3-pt shots)

'bu-bu-but Kawhi's midrange is the reason why the Raptors won' - @Torrential
And for your information, you're WRONG about KD taking more midrange shots than anyone.

2019: DeRozan (followed by LMA) led the league in midrange shots; KD ranked 3rd
2018: LMA (followed by KP) led the league in midrange shots; KD ranked 6th
2017: DeRozan (followed by Melo) lead the league in midrange shots; KD ranked 27th
2016: Blake (followed by Melo) lead the league in midrange shots; KD ranked 19th
2015: LMA (followed by Melo) lead the league in midrange shots; KD ranked 29th
2014: LMA (followed by Melo) lead the league in midrange shots; KD ranked 12th

Giannis has started to get hate from Harden stans now too. For winning mvp last year and taking shots at Harden’s defense
Giannis has been getting hate from everyone, and a lot of that is based upon the perception he doesn't have any 'skill', which again comes back to this back-in-the-day shyt.

Again, all the hate that stars get on this board stems from folks holding onto the past. If you represent any part of the trends and sphere of the current state of today's NBA, you'll get hated on.

I expect Jokic to play but Clippers will probably win this game. I would just rest Jokic.
