Should WrestleMania be One Night or Two Nights?

The funny thing is that the main cards of the last 2 Wrestlemanias actually lasted longer than the main cards of Wrestlemanias 32-35 did (6+ hours). But since they were divided over 2 nights, they were much easier to sit through. I’d gladly take this format of 2 nights over the single shows after seeing both nights this weekend.

But see, people will say this and when guys they like don't get a spot, that'll be the next big complaint...

The roster is huge at this point. And sure, not everybody should make the cut but I feel like most of the people who were in matches this year deserved to be on it, so who do you cut? shyt, people were mad about the Andre Battle Royal and the SD tag titles didn't make the cut. If they had, that woulda made it 16 matches. So in cutting it down to 8, I can't realistically say there's 8 matches that I woulda cut.

Back in the 80s/early-90s, they were able to fit like 14 matches on a 4 hour show, but they were also shorter matches which were OK with the crowd because you didn't get stars vs. stars every week on TV, so it all felt special. The longest matches on the show would be maybe over 10 minutes, close to 20 if it was the main event. Everything else would be between 3-7 minutes. Imagine how much bytching would go on now if they crammed a bunch of 5 minute matches into Mania.

All I know is that 7-hour shyt had to go. If it works better to do two 3 hour shows and not burn a crowd out or have people up late, so be it.

i would have had to cut everything to do with the women's tag titles and also Braun/Shane but there's room on a preshow for more matches. Just that they aren't gonna be that special. they will be on as people are filing in..

It's not very economical though if you're someone attending. The suggestion of making it like NBA All Star Saturday night is the best thing I've read regarding the two night spectacle. At least then, you know that the main dish is Sunday and if you choose to spend an extra few hundred on Saturday, that's on you. With tickets going on sale in November/December, you're banking on getting a night that has a good card.

if they dont make it 2 nights to keep most of their stars healthy.......somebody else will.

wrestlers will take their talents elsewhere.

Two nights is trash man. I ain't going to both shows, and I'm going to have to guess which one the Tribal Chief will be on (I assume Sunday )
