DU is the first rap group (along with EPMD) I got really big into as a kid, so I definitely do.

And i'm not trying to take anything away from them at all, not even trying to dispute that Shock and Atron are responsible for Pacs entry into the mainstream, thats a fact, but I know the history and who all else was involved, to say we never woulda heard of Pac is just not factually accurate.
PAC fukked with DU heavy. He stayed giving Shock G his props to the very end. You might say he woulda blew without them but PAC would be the first one to say it was DU that put him on. shyt his whole first album he was calling himself “the rebel of the underground”.

PAC had a gift regardless but we may never have heard it if they didn’t put him on

Man Kobe did none of that and look what happened to him :mjcry:

completely different circumstances. I don’t know how or why Shock died yet but no one is saying if you eat right and exercise then you’ll love forever but it’s much more likely you’ll live longer and feel better in old age than someone who smokes, drinks and eats like shyt for the majority of their life.

smh.......super underrated musician. people only really know him for Humpty but he was a talented musician who played multiple instruments and a good producer. an innovator. his music holds a special place in my heart because it was during my HS/College days. RIP to the great Shock G.
