Most people will never know that though.

What they will always know however is that P told Lake/Worm and their whole crew to "catch me at the crossroads, fakkit"

on their own album.

Sure. No doubt, he got angry at em on they own album. I love P, you taking to the biggest P stan of all time.

Doesn’t change the fact that in order to get his shyt back he agreed to do some verses for them.

People acting like negotiation/extortion is a foreign concept :russ:

I never heard that Get Back song from Prodigy dissing Lake on his own album.....on a supposedly extorted verse Hilarious. Only in QB.

So i'm listening to 41st album for the first time. Not bad. What happened to Blitz. Due was hella talented. He was holding his own against the heavy hitters.

Blitz was real nice.

Had a mixtape that Nas hosted, did some tracks with Pap etc.

Just prolly gave up.

Even if it played out exactly how Worm said it, how does it make Cormega look bad?
Geninely surprised to see people express that it paints Mega in a bad light.

Dudes were getting robbed left and right.Money was being paid to chains and pendants back to protect the reputation of the rapper.

Being able to broker the return of the chain was worth something, and maybe Mega was smart enough to get something out of the system for doing it. Maybe a distribution deal, record deal for a group under him, being added to an upcoming tour.

I think Chris Lighty was managing Mobb Deep at the time, and it would have been him that Mega was hustling, not Prodigy.

You don't think that negotiations went on to get Young Buck's chain back when it got cuffed in Chicago?

I wouldn't have done it like that, but I wouldn't knock Mega for it.

Right. Mega had seemingly lost face somewhat with Lighty, whom was a real ticket towards music push and financial gain.

In Mega eyes it’s a double win. Impress Lighty, appease a difficult situation and come off as a winner.

Mega fukked his situation with Lighty up and then turned around and publically accused him of career sabotage.

Yep.

But at some point along the line he was trying to get his meal ticket with Lighty.

He was being managed by Violators.

Mobb Deep and CNN had real beef.

But anyway Sherm's story seems off.

But it's funny two of the guys Prodigy called his mans instigated the shyt. Ice and Cormega.

Mobb Deep and CNN had beef and the reason Pone got locked up, yet Mobb are all over the War Report. They're on just as many tracks as Pone. According to what P said on Infamousstores.com, it lasted only a few weeks before they called each other up to squash it. He also said after that they didn't even talk about it.

1. Prodigy was too nice. People in general are too generous with their kindness. The ruthless people in this world, it’s a reason they’re ruthless. They ain’t wake up monsters. Once upon a time they were *too* nice. Once he gave out them concert tickets to them, they immediately saw him as food

2. Sherm is lying/covering up for Lake. Its what homies are supposed to do. Lake definitely planned it for Sherm to knock P out. He even admits it in his Prodigy diss record “Dont Do It”. Sherm saying “Lake had no clue I was gonna knock him out” was the giveaway. Why say that out of nowhere

3. Havoc’s fear of them QB nikkas was stronger than his love for P. Which taints the Mobb Deep legacy a bit

4. Cormega looks funny in this situation

facts....anyone can see right through that. He's trying to put Lake in a better light (lake seems to be like a father figure to him) but at the same time made Mega look even more suspect than he already did for watching P almost get his life taken, w/o even trying to help him out.

Why would he have to cover for Lake in 2019? I dont have Sherm lying at this point. Like for what?

I feel the same way. I don’t think he lying about lake. He just replying to p alluding that lake set him up.

Fun fact.... jungle ain’t fukk with Sherm back in them days and was busting at them cuz of that prodigy shyt. Lake and nas had to squash that shyt but that’s how jungle really started getting known as a wild boy for real for real... “jungle busting his guns to get your weak chain back”....
