Superman was the power play and Zachary Levi was too stupid to play the best hand he had.

The moment Cavill turned down a cameo in Shazam he should have called up Routh and said "I need you on set, we'll film some stuff and get it in front of executives."

If you're going to get into a power struggle get some leverage. Instead you trot out a headless Superman.

People are starting to see The Rock aint all Mr Nice guy lol. When all that Fast and The Furious beef was going on, everybody was getting on Vin Diesel and Tyrese like they HAD to be the issue. That cast has been tight like family for over 10 years with no issues that I can recall taking place between anyone in those movies, until The Rock, so I aint get why they aint get benefit of the doubt that maybe The Rock can be a cocky a$$hole who thinks he is the shyt. Totally believable that he was on some trying to take over the franchise type shyt and acting like he was bigger than letting Vin run the ship he been steering since the jump.

I said the same and got negged to Bolivia and back in them threads. It rubbed me the wrong way that The Rock came to their franchise and tried to take it over when they were all cool with each other for a decade at that point in time. People were acting like The Rock saved Fast & the Furious when the franchise had already come back to life with the fourth movie that Rock wasn't a part of. They talk about Rock like he has multiple billion dollar franchises that he's known for when he has none. That's why he keep trying to bogart other people's franchises. I'm glad time passing made all those comments look stupid. Rock needs to focus on making a Terminator, a Rocky or a Top Gun, so he can get his own shyt and stop having conflict with all these people.

Well…it was Tyrese who was voicing his displeasure and going on Rock’s IG comments looking like a jackass. And giving Tyrese’s record…Jody always be acting crazy in public.

And let’s not act like Vin Diesel is not an egomaniac either. Apparently Vin is frustrating to work with as well. Dude literally frustrated the previous “Fast X” director so bad that he quit 3 days into filming.

I guess this is just one of those times that they were actually right :yeshrug:

Cacs somehow think black adam was going to save this movie :mjlol:

Wasn't rock trying to get a black adam movie made WAY before Zachery cracka even thought about being in Shazam :mjlol:

Disgusting work...all these crackas blaming the brown man for they epic flop of a movie :mjlol:

"If Dwayne had been in it for 38 seconds and said do you smell what black adam is cooking and did the eyebrow this movie would have made 200 million opening weekend, he screwed us" :mjcry:

Seemly embarrassed Cavill.
Man told his boy to come through to the party, Gunn spotted him taking a shot, but the music and said who the fukk invited you:gucci:

Levi had nowhere near the leverage Rock had.

Rock produced Shazam. His ex and business partner was Cavill’s agent at the time. Even if Levi tried to pull that shyt, you think Rock was going to let Route appear as Supes when he’s financially interested in having Cavill as Supes?

This basically should have been the movie.

The DC actors seem to think they are all bigger on their own than together. Imagine having the literal #1 Comic Book team movie rights in your hands and people out here playing games, while Marvel got people signed up doing Guardians sequels playing on the same team. :mjlol: Hopefully the new dude that's taking over "Flashpoints" all these people out of existence and start the DCU fresh and just copy Marvel. Like I been saying the whole time.

DC does not have the #1 comic book team. This isn't 2002.

The Justice League is easily the most recognizable/popular/famous (however you want to say it) comic book team ever. As an MCU fan, I'm looking at DC like "how are yall fukking this up? :why:". They should be able to build up to a 2+ Billion dollar movie with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc...

No one gets to be massively successful by being a push over. And the Rock coming from wrestling being a mega star wouldn't accept playing second fiddle to middling actors like Vin Diesel etc...Which makes sense.

The thing with Fast though is it was Vin's kingdom and as long as everyone submits to him they're cool. But if they don't then they're out. Because he doesn't want actors, he wants subjects.

So someone who's a bigger star than him like the Rock was inevitably going to upset him so it was always going to go sideways because of his ego.

And Fast Five really did launch the popularity of the franchise into the stratosphere with a much higher RT score, box office, and audience popularity.

Because the movie right before it had 28% on RT and a box office take of $360 million :scust:

Fast Five did 78% on RT and $630 million.

And someone mentioned Bautista. The problem is that dude's filmography mostly consists of him getting beat up by smaller actors to prove how tough they are.

Kind of the Worf Effect.

Which isn't the model any respectable actor wants to follow.

In no order

- Journey 2 $80 mil budget / 335 return
- Jumanji $90-15p mil budget / Billion dollar return
- San Andreas $110 budget / 475 million return
- Moana $150-175 budget / 645 million return
- Jumanji 2 $125-132 budget / 802 million return

No that's not all his movies but you get a great mix here. The Jumanji movies stick out big but even San Andreas and Journey 2 quadrupled the budget at the box office. And that's not counting the Fast series

- Fast 4 (before The Rock) $85 mil budget / 360 mil return
- F5 (w/The Rock) $125 mil budget / 626 mil return
- F6 $160-260 mil budget / 789 mil return
- F7 $190-250 budget / 1.5 Billion return *Paul Walker's death most likely gave this that death boost
- F8 $250-270 budget / 1.2 Billion return

Then you got Hobbs and Shaw with $200 budget and a $700+ return

Where's the abject failure? Black Adam? Ok....

Jungle Cruise? That was a Covid era release on home video.

Y'all really need to get a hold of yourselves with this bullshyt internet hyperbole.

So we just gonna ignore:
Hercules
Baywatch
Skyscraper
Rampage (debatable)
Pain and Gain

I’ve long held the Rick’s got star power, but it’s greatly overrated. His numbers don’t hit the same when he’s not in an established franchise or part of a strong ensamble cast, or paired up w/ Kevin Hart.

First thing first.

I’m a fan of the original Captain Marvel from Fawcett Comics. He was superior to Superman at the time in strength, speed, power, magic, popularity and comic book sales. When billy screamed SHAZAM! he turned turned into an full adult, not an adult with the brain of a child. He was the first Superhero on the big screen.

I hate what DC did to him in the new 52.
I hate the new family of SHAZAM! members.
I hate how they turned him into a full adult with the brain of a child. Too many characters to focus on who are unoriginal and not captivating.

For years DC have been giving SHAZAM! the short end of the stick, including their modern version of him in the new 52. They Propped Black Adam up more recently and lately then they did captain. They killed Captain Marvel’s character off in comics and video games too for no reason.

There is no Black Adam without Captain Marvel. DC knows that Captain Marvel original story if done right could be a big problem against Superman in sales and popularity but they refuse to respect the character and we get this new take on him that’s crap. For god’s sake where’s Tawky Tawny.

The only anything Captain Marvel you should watch on the screen is the original show from the 1940’s. Justice League Unlimited, and Superman vs. Shazam!

I'll just say I'm not surprised when it comes to The Rock. I said it once and I'll say it again The Rock still doesn't have a franchise to call his own and doesn't have any classic movies. With that being said this movie was doomed from the start and has nothing to do with The Rock. It truly boggles my mind when it comes to DC. They actually have all of the animated movies done and are a blueprint to go about telling these stories (The DC animated Universe is crack) but yet and still they continue to drop the ball. Don't really have faith in Gunn like that and I think it's too late to fix this mess of a franchise. Too many missteps and patience is just about gone.
