Some dudes need shyt spelled out for them: Nobody thought Dwayne not letting them tack on a scene was why the movie sucked.
His behavior is clearly a sign that he'd been messing with Shazam since jump and put it on a trajectory for disaster by taking away its biggest villain.

In the cartoons Shazam was always played as really honest, earnest, trusting and a bit naive. It was interesting seeing a person with that much power have such a childlike "gee golly' attitude. Kinda like Captain America or Superman's boy scout nature turned up a notch.

No one gets to be massively successful by being a push over. And the Rock coming from wrestling being a mega star wouldn't accept playing second fiddle to middling actors like Vin Diesel etc...Which makes sense.
The thing with Fast though is it was Vin's kingdom and as long as everyone submits to him they're cool. But if they don't then they're out. Because he doesn't want actors, he wants subjects.
So someone who's a bigger star than him like the Rock was inevitably going to upset him so it was always going to go sideways because of his ego.
And Fast Five really did launch the popularity of the franchise into the stratosphere with a much higher RT score, box office, and audience popularity.
Because the movie right before it had 28% on RT and a box office take of $360 million
Fast Five did 78% on RT and $630 million.
And someone mentioned Bautista. The problem is that dude's filmography mostly consists of him getting beat up by smaller actors to prove how tough they are.
Kind of the Worf Effect.
Which isn't the model any respectable actor wants to follow.
It burns your soul that people like Dom....literally the main character of Fast and Furious over Dwayne....it's mental illness at this point.
The whole world was ready to watch F&F again once Dom showed up in Tokyo Drift.
Tokyo Drift did $159 million at the box office. Fast Four did $360 million. That's double. The wave was already starting. You think Dwayne offered to come to a failing franchise? No. His ass knew it was a good opportunity. Please read the bolded again. Do you truly think in your heart that Fast Five would have failed without him? If so, please don't invest your money in anything. They could've added any popular actor in the Rock's place and Fast Five would have still did numbers. Which has been PROVEN already

They took a character that nobody cares about, Shazam...and made it a slapstick almost kid movie, and then when it bombed all I hear is "the rock sabotaged it"
Did he throw the original script in the trash or something?
How about this? Don't put Meagan Goode in your movie. Everything she's is in flops.

Killmonger isn't Black Panther biggest villain. That movie did pretty good.
Scarlett Which isn't Dr Strange biggest villain. That movie did pretty good.
But the Rock absolutely ruined this trash ass movie because he took away their biggest villain. Ok.

Nah. I saw it in the theater. If felt more childlike than the original which is weird because the adults had more screentime in this one. The first one was WAY better but my 8 year old like this one too so it's fine I guess.

They’re scapegoating the Rock. He made his terms, and they agreed to them; because they were desperate, and they thought the Rock being a box office draw would be enough to get people to come out and watch. They even put more promotion into Black Adam than Shazam.

Movie looked mid-tier from the trailer. Remember at the end of the first one 'Superman' had a cameo. Now that Supes is gone, and we know Black Adam is not in it, we had 'witches' as villains who can summon a dragon. Not a great lead-in like the previous ending
