Shaq should put that asterisk on his 2002 championship

They will have to play in empty arena or with very minimal amount of fans. I don't think you are getting full arena with fans in november neither :mjlol: sports will be one of the last things that get back to normal life. These are massive events.

Does his ring has an asterisk cause of how the refs robbed the Kings in 2002?

Sounds like a lot of the superstar players want to finish this season. So some of y’all can take that “only LeBron wants to finish this season” take and go play in traffic.

Full of shyt by calling them an asterisk champ. We don't call the 98-99 Spurs asterisk champs. The year was suspended meaning at some point, things were going to resume.

Full playoffs in front of fans in arenas not in front of pluto and donald duck with pom poms at Universal Studios...difference.

Next year's champ will have an "asterisk" too, so it's whatever.

Finish out this season or restart in October, the same issues remain:

1. Is it safe/testing mechanisms
2. Empty stadiums/travel considerations
3. Essential/non-essential personnel
4. The implications/"asterick"/controversary if a star player tests positive and is out indefinitely

If they can resolve the first 3, then I'm all for them continuing this season. Point 4 is what it is moving forward with any sport.

We need a champion for the season that was played. We can’t just not have a champion.

Why not? The NCAA basically did that. And I'd argue it's a bigger deal for Men's basketball when you factor in how hard it is to win and player eligibility expiring.

People gotta accept these are unprecedented times. Might not be no sports for a minute. Unfortunately the NBA has more pressure to figure this out before everyone else.
